PREGNANCY AFTER MYOMECTOMEY PART 2

Denice, There aren't any special instructions that I can think of. The ibuprofen did not help prevent pain during my HSG but for me it was just some strong cramps for a few minutes then everything was back to normal after the procedure. Some people feel no pain at all but either way it's a pretty quick procedure so pain or no pain it's over with very quickly. I don't recall bleeding any after my HSG (I've had a total of 3) but again some people do bleed for a little bit. It's neat to see how everything works in there and to be able to see how the uterus is shaped and the fallopian tubes. Hopefully you will have good news from the procedure. Good luck & keep us posted! KB

Well, I'm back to square one. AF showed up yesterday. I still can't comprehend why I didn't get pregnant this month. I know that it sounds crazy but it really did throw me for a loop when it didn't happen. My tubes are finally open (both of them!) and I'm completely healed from the myomectomy. I'm ovulating normally. It just seemed inevitable that it would happen this month? When I got pregnant with my son in 07 it was immediately following the HSG and I was told back then that my one tube was probably clogged all those months prior and that was probably the reason why it took me 6 months (prior to the HSG) to get pregnant with him. So, I just knew that it would work that way this time around. Anyway, I thought that I would be upset and crying all day but somehow I made it through the day and didn't even think about it that much. I'm just trying to get it back together so that we can start back trying again in a couple of weeks.

Hi all, Just wanted to let you all know that I'm thinking about you and I know how hard it must be to hit roadblock after roadblock. KM, I think you asked if being pregnant or having a baby after a myomectomy heals the wounds of a miscarriage. I'm only speaking for myself here when I say, honestly, no. I still miss my son, and its been about 20 months since we lost him at 16 weeks. But I will say that being pregnant at least validates that having the myomectomy was the right decision for us. At least I am able to bear children. It's a wonderful feeling, ladies. It wouldn't have been possible without my surgery, and I've had no fibroid-related problems during this pregnancy at all. I am looking forward to my daughter's birth. My c-section is scheduled for 12/10, so about 11 days away. I'm so excited to have a baby! My hubby is also over the moon. But I just wanted to let you all know that I understand how you feel, and I hope and pray that you all become pregnant and fat and tired and bloated :-) I'll keep you posted.

KB thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. Sorry to hear about AF, but try not to worry. Stress does not help the situation at all as a matter a fact it makes it worst. Stress is powerful and it can cause all types of complications in our bodies. Try to think this way, you will get pregnant but only when God is ready. Don't rush God. Be patient with him. He will be right on time.

Well girls, my LO did come out and he's only a few days old, but it was really scary. His head made it around the fibroid, but the rest of his body could not. They had to do a c-section and they still had tons of difficulty getting his body out. He's so bruised. Poor little guy. We're definitely going to do a myomectomey now. So, I'll be back to get more information after we heal through this time and start thinking about what to do with my uterus next (almost lost it too, but the docs worked hard to save it). Good luck to all. I hope you can all have wonderful pregnancies!

Hello ladies. I was on the internet and read abouth this product called the instead cup. It's used during you period but you can also use it to ttc. When you get a chance google instead cups or instead cups while ttc and read the information. I bought a pack on Tuesday and trying to get my husband to go along with it. At this point I am willing to try almost anything. God Bless to All.

Hello ladies, on December 1 I had my HSG and pelvic ultrasound. I havn't met with my Re yet but the doctor that performed the procedures said that my right fallopian tube was fine but my left one looked as if it had something on top of it. He also said that it had a dent in it that maybe came from the fibroid, but I will make an appt. with my Re soon and see what she says about the results. What do you ladies think?

Healing I forgot to thank you for answering my question. I really appreciate your insight. Also, finally preggers congrats girl. Just an FYI I opsted I was going to try the instead cup. It was a disaster. I bd then put the cup in as soo as I got up it spilled out. sorry if tmi. I mean mostly all of it. When I took the cup out I saw something in the cup so some did catch but I think we are going to stay with the old fashion way for now. God Bless to all nothing new on my side. As a matter of fact maybe one of you could help me with this. My cycle has changed dramatically and I don't know when I ovulate. My period cycle is as follows. Sep. 14... Oct. 14....Nov 23. My Uncle died the end of Oct. so I figured the stress I was going through. Please I need help!!!!! Guess I am going to have to bd every other day for 2 weeks.

KM are you producing CM? And if so, do you know how to check it? Usually when your cervix drops down kind of low and it is really soft, that is O. Your CM can give you alot of information.

Ladies, my appointment for my HSG results will be next week December 18

KM, Seems like I remember you saying that you didn't want to do the ovulation test anymore but you may want to try the strips (comes 20 in a pack - I think?) at least during the times that your cycle is off. But my cycle, since the myomectomy, has varied by a few days each month but not by as much as yours. Some months I'm 31 days and some months I'm 28 days from cycle to cycle. So, I've been using the strips mostly to ensure that I'm actually ovulating. The 20 in the pack is enough to test every day starting the day after the end of your cycle. I use the online calendar then I start testing with the strips the week that the online calendar says that it's time to ovulate. Also, I'm keeping a log so that if and when I need to go back to the dr for more testing I can show him when I ovulated. My dr. seems to think that I don't know how to make a baby. Whenever I go see him he always asks me stupid questions like.... are you and your husband having relations on a regular basis? You aren't using protection are you? Are you sure that you're ovulating.... really silly questions like that. I'm 32 not 3 so I think that I know how to make a baby?!!!! At least I know how to try to make a baby... it's up to the powers that be to make it happen... not me!!! Baby dust everyone...

KM Williams - December 10

Hello ladies thank you for responding. Denice I am producing cm. Actually while I was in Boston Nov. 8th to be exact I ovulated. I experienced something I've never had. I had cramping on my right side. That never happens. The next day I had an overflow of egg white cm. I always have cm but never that much. I thought I was pregnant but should have know cause 2 weeks later I got my period. Also, I wish you well on the results of your HSG. KB, I know I just wrote probably two months ago that I was going to let go and let God but I am back to my old tricks. I am really starting to wonder what the hell is going on. I had my myo April 29th and I am still not pregnant. If I don't fall pregnant this month I will but the ovulation test strips. I don't have an excuse as to why I haven't already. Sorry if tmi. My husband and I bd Monday and Tuesday... will take a break tonight. Monday night was a disaster.. tried the instead cups. I bd first then slid it in when I got up I felt it running down my leg. Not what I expected. That was a waste of some of the s____n. I will keep everyone posted. Baby dust to all. KB when are you ovulating?

FinallyPreggers - December 11

KM, I'm sorry for all your troubles. Have you tried charting your basal body temperature? My cycles were so short that I couldn't figure out when or if I ovulated and figured if I did ovulate, my luteal phase was too short. I kept track of my chart on fertility friend dot com. It has lessons etc and taught me a lot. We got pregnant on the first cycle we charted (after what seemed like a long time of ttc with no results)

KM Williams - December 11

Thank you finally preggers. If I am not pregnant this month I will look into that. I was charting before I got pregnant but stopped beacuse I didn't want to follow through with it. But I am willing try anything now. Last night about an 1/2 after I got off the site I saw egg white cm. I was so excited. I know I said no bd last night but we did. Can't miss the window of opportunity. I will keep everyone posted thank you for the support.

KB - December 13

Hi Everyone, I'm so confused tonight and need some advice. It's another ovulation question! Seems like a lot of us have had these lately! Anyway, since September I've been charting my ovulation using the online calendar along with ovulation strips. I normally start using the strips the first day of my most fertile day (based on the online calendar). This has worked out great for the months of September, October and November. Normally the first day I test the test line is very faint and it gets darker each day til my ovulation date and on that date when I test the test line is super dark. So, I can tell exactly when I ovulate. Well, since my myomectomy in June my cycles have been irregular by a few days. They vary from 28 days to 31 days and in November my period only lasted 4 days (normally it lasts 6). Well the first week of December it lasted for 7 days. So 4 days of AF one month and 7 days the next really threw me off. I'm supposed to be most fertile between the 10th and the 15th of this month so I started using the ovulation strips on the 10th. The test line was faint. Then on the 11th it was a little bit darker then on the 12th it got lighter and today the test line was even lighter than yesterday. I'm very confused. For the past 2 months of testing the line gets darker each day until the day of ovulation and it's super dark. It only got a little bit dark (no where near as dark as the test line) for one day and it's getting faint again? Is it possible to start ovulation then stop before it actually happens? Or do you think that with my cycles being irregular by a few days that maybe I missed my ovulation day? I'm so confused. I don't really keep up with how much DH & I BD until the week of ovulation then I make a mental note but since I wasn't expecting to ovulate until the days between the 10th & the 15th then I have no idea if we BD'd enough to get pregnant if I just happened to ovulate early. I did notice a tiny bit of CM on the 11th but it was just a tiny bit. This is the first month that I've had this problem of not knowing for sure if I even ovulated. I guess my question is... is it possible to have a tiny bit of CM and a faint ovulation line and still ovulate? Per the online calendar I'm not supposed to actually ovulate until Monday but based on the strips the line has gotten much lighter over the past 2 days instead of getting darker as usual? What in the world is wrong with me? I've never had any irregular cycles prior to the myomectomy. This is worrying me. Thanks for any insight.
