Rebecca- you can hear the babys heart beat at 7 weeks... My ultrasound at 5 weeks 6 days, the heart started to flicker and at 7 weeks 3 days, it was beating extremely strong at 166...

Cathy - did your mc's start after you had your five kids, or were they interspersed?

Well, I think its (m/c) is finally over b/c the bleeding is just about stopped and the cramps/backache has gone...physically I feel pretty good..just wonder now when to expect my next cycle...I'd like to start tracking my ovulation again..but not sure if having this m/c is like having your cycle and count from the first day of bleeding or what...your thoughts on this...could use the advice..thanks in advance

Yvette- The bleeding after a loss, is most likely NOT your period. So, unfortunely you can't go by that. You just have to be like the many of us, that wait and wait for your AF to come. I ovulated 5 weeks after my m/c. Got pregnant that ovulation, So, I never got my period after my m/c. Is your dr. going to follow your HCG down to 0? I had mine follow mine down to 5. And within that week it was all the way down, is when I ovulated. Hope that helps!

Daniella- thanks for that info...argh..the waiting game..i really hate waiting..but i guess have no choice...i'm not sure if my dr. is planning to do that again...i am supposed to make an appt. to go back when i felt like everything was over..as far as ovulation, i had fairly regular cycles and felt like i ovulated but never got pregnant until i used Clomid...i suppose i'll see what the dr. says..thanks again

Yvette- the dr. put me on clomid for after I had a normal period after my last loss... HAH! I found out I was pregnant "again" without using clomid or doing all the dr's test for ovulation. When I went to the dr. I was like, "Well, I guess I wont need to do all this stuff, because low and behold, I'm pregnant" I've only ovulated a few times a year. I would sometimes get my AF every 3 months or so. So, to get pregnant the first time I ovulated after my m/c was a miracle. I know they say you are way more fertile those few weeks after a m/c or giving birth, but WOW.... So, I believe that even if you didn't ovulate regularly before the m/c, that you will still be extremely fertile that week your HCG hits 0... BEST of LUCK!!!

I just got my results back from my progesterone supplements taken 2 weeks after starting them.... and it only went up .1 (was 19.1 before supps. 2 weeks later w/ supps 19.2) So, I don't know if that means that either I really need the supplements to sustain the progesterone levels or it means that they aren't needed and isn't doing anything. OH well! So far so good, so I guess I will just keep taking until I'm 12 weeks. :)

Daniella-its great knowing that you were able to conceive so quickly after the m/c...i wish you the best for this pregnancy and remain hopeful for my next try....

Yvette- I pray you get good news soon!!! I'm sure you will... Sometime in life you have to give to gain... Keep posted! and best of luck!!

Tiffany - October 4

I'am suppose to be 81/2 wks, my doctor sent me to have a ultrasound, the tech said that she didn't see anything that's it's to early, last year I had a blightened ovum, could this be happening again.

Daniella - October 5

Tiffany- at 8 weeks it should be a good size and have a strong heartbeat.. They seen my embryo, yolk sac AND the heart flicker at 5 weeks 6 days (I know my date of conception).... and at 7 weeks 3 days, the heartbeat was at 166bpm. They say that less than 90bpm between the 6th and 8th week is considered a high miscarriage rate. Although, it really depends on the ultrasound equipment they used also... So, that is something you need to ask your dr. and if your HCG is doubling as it should.
