Sore Neck Toxoplasmosis Please Help

For 2 1/2 weeks I've had a sore neck. I called the doctors office, but they act like I'm crazy. I'm only 27 and never had a problem w/ my neck b/4. I know that swollen glands are a symptom but at the side and back of my neck it's hard to tell. Anyone w/ info or if you think it could be something else please let me know. This sore neck is driving me nuts.
