Hello all, There are so many positive stories here lately, and even though we don't know eachother from a whole in the ground we all care so much!! Its so nice to see that.... Sharee don't be sorry for anything I know what it's like to get results like we all have, and it vertually impossible not to worry about everything! It's called mothering and you have nothing to be ashamed of . I'm sure all of us are doing it right along with you!!

Hi everybody...I went to another site to talk to people and see what other sites are like, but it was weird and not as open as this one..I also got a private bedsupport buddy on sidelines.com..She really nice but it isnt the same talking to you guys..I feel better knowing that we are all going through this at the sametime and that I am not the only one out there...Sheree, its ok to vent thats what this site is for along other things...Ive been having horrible dreams dreams about everything and I catch myself just freaking out over a dream..So your ok....I keep having contractions on and off and I am hoping this antibiotic takes away the infection that I have because I dont want baby to come early....My nurse from my insurance company has been very helpful with giving good medical advice..Anyhow..Hope all is well with everybody and lets hope this infection and contractions go away...

We had our in-depth ultrasound on Wed and the Dr. said The baby and I look great! The ultrasound tech (whom I've seen almost weekly now) said she thought we really had amazing healing. They said I am back on track for a normal pregnancy now. Yeah! I do still have to watch out for signs of preterm labor though, I guess that goes along with having had these tears. Becky - Is your Dr. doing anything to try and stop the contractions? Is the infection in any way related to your tear?

Hey Sarah...The doctor put me on the antibiotics to help get rid of the infection and once it starts working hopefully the contractions will stop for good..My infection is call bacterial vaginosis and apparently it is an infection within myself due to the old blood sitting up inside of me..Doctors says its nothing that I did..if the infection doesnt go away after this week then I will need to get IV antibiotics and I refuse to go to hospital so they are going to do it at home....Well gotta jet for now, my honey is home...Good news for you,,I am so happy, how long did it take for the bleed to resolve? R you working?

My first bleed (2cm) was at 10 wks. The 2nd and larger one (7cm) was at 14wks. I was then put on bedrest until 20 wks, which is when they both finally healed. I am not working, per say, but I am trying to get my house back into some sort of order and taking care of my 19 mo. old daughter again - which is completely wearing me out! Now that I am taking care of her she has started sleeping through the night again. Is your little boy coming to terms with your bedrest yet?

You are all talking about your sub c's and I just wanted to comment that I think I must have been very lucky with mine although I didn't have any kids to run around after and could completely rest, which I think helped. Most of my scans they could not see what was causing the discharge, but one scan at 6 week 3 days showed the sub c, but then the one at 11 weeks showed all was ok, and I had stopped discharging but then pa__sed that huge clot a few days after this scan, so what is doing there. I think the doctors where confused, but then I rested completely for 2 weeks after this and discharged brown the whole 2 weeks and it finally went and I haven't seen it again since since 14 weeks and now 23 weeks. Gone are those days thank god, they haven't even put me in a high risk category anymore. Guess my placenta just healed over really nicely! Carla/Becky - Agree isn't it nice we all care so much, guess it helps we have the same condition too! Becky- Not trying to scare you but I know a girl who ingnored a discharge that she was getting and it was an infection that caused her waters to break and go into labour at 26.5 weeks. Omg, how terrible for her, her baby has a 60% chance of survival, and was born at 780grams she is so tiny. But girls are little fighters so I am sure she will be ok, but scarey for the parents though. If only her bub had of held on for another 2-3 weeks and it would have had a 90% chance of survival. Sarah- Great news on the u/s. So happy for you.

Hi everybody...I am such a cheater..My doctor said I could get up and walk in the house, but I made my honey take me for a ride and to lunch...it was nice and I am back in bed resting...Did anybody get very exhausted getting up after strict bedrest..I started taking showers and I can barely make it all the way through without laying down or sitting on the side of the tub..I am hoping my infection goes away because of the preterm labor that happens from it..I didnt have any symptoms except that my urine specimen at the doctors picked it up last wednesday..I to have been having the dark brown discharge but it has been 3weeks now and it is still going on, However I just pa__sed alot of stuff when I went to the bath room and I hope that means that the rest of the bleed which is 2x3cms is almost out...I am so sorry for your friend, her little girl will do fine, I work with preemies at work and the little girls are so much more with it then little boys..Sarah..thats great you are taking care of your little girl again..My son will be 2 on feb 4th and I have been on bedrest and it wasnt until this past wednesday when I started getting up and moving around, that my son was happy to be around me...Before he just hit me and cryed and said boo boo alot..Well gotta jet for now, all have a good weekend...

I have the same type of problem only not heavy. US showed a small bleed that is leaking. MD put me on "rest", not really bedrest but advised me after 3 miscarriages that baby is OK and getting O2 and nutrients, and that situation may just resolve itself. We are praying like mad as are our congregation. I did find an article pertaining to it at americanbaby.com. I am comforted by it however when I see "red" I feel the anxiety well up. If you feel this, I have no problem being email buddies with you to provide support.

All of you are definately an answer to my prayers. I was recently diagnosed with a large subchorionic bleed at 7 weeks. My doctor told me that I only have a 50% chance of delivering a healthy baby. The only precautions that she told me are no heavy lifting and no s_x. It's so nice to hear all of your rea__suring stories. I go back for an ultrasound in 2 weeks and I will definately press them for more information after reading all of your stories. I hope all of you have healthy babies and I will keep you updated. Thanks again for all the valuable info!

SarahS - February 9

Saraastm - My Dr. told me I only had a 50/50 chance as well. That was after my 2nd tear (7cm) at ~13wks. Besides the no lifting or s_x I was also told to just lay or sit down as much as possible. By 20 wks both of my tears had healed and I am now back on track for a healthy pregnancy. So take it as easy as you can!

Hey sarah...Hows it going? I was just wondering if you were able to go back to work after you healed? hope all is well

SarahS - February 9

Becky - I'm a stay at home mom (or as I prefer to be called "executive director of domestic affairs") so I guess I am back at work in a sense. How are you doing now that your help is gone? It is hard for me not being able to do all that I am used to accomplishing in a day. I get tired or have funny pains that freak me out and have to rest more. I really love being able to take care of my little girl again though. Did your infection clear up?

Becky - February 10

Hey Sarah S...How are ya...I would definitly say you are working full time again..I have been up trying to do stuff in the house even though I am susposed to be in bed except for going to the bathroom...I can barely keep up with my toddlers feeding, bathing, drinking, everything needs as is and my doctor is talking about sending me back to work once all things are cleared up...Im kinda scared, my nurse from the insurance company says I need to explain to him that I am a nurse who stands for 12hours taking care of preemies...Shes also mad that I am having alot of signs of preterm labor and the doctor is talking about sending me back to work...I shouldnt freet because I think I still have the infection and that is why I am having contractions...Any how...How are you doing keeping up with the kids? how far are you now? How long did you continue to discharge all of the old blood after your bleed? Its been 1month and a few days and I am still going through that stuff? Will it ever end?

Hello all- I just spent awhile reading all of your posts. It is so helpful to read all of your stories I, like Carla, discovered I had a sch after a car accident this past Wednesday. It was so scary...all I could think about was the baby. They performed an ultrasound at the hospital and another yesterday at the ob/gyn office. They told me that the sch was there before the accident and it could not have been caused by the accident. I am currently 11 weeks and the baby was growing healthy and had a good heartbeat. I haven't experienced any bleeding during my entire pregnancy. I guess my concern is that I wasn't told anything about bedrest, no lifting or no s_x, or what my chances were of keeping the baby. They seemed to act like everything is fine but if they are sending me back and forth for ultrasounds, everything must not be alright. I guess I need to make a phone call to the doctors office on Monday. i'm finding it hard to find info. on the net about people in my situation that aren't bleeding...
