10 Weeks And No Period

I am 10 weeks pp and still no sight of a period. How long does it take for your period to come back? Not that I miss it, but I would like to get back on the pill sometime soon. Has it taken anyone else this long? Should I be concerned?

Are you b___stfeeding your baby? My baby is about 4 1/2 mo. old, and I still have not gotten my period, but I am b___stfeeding her. I read that this is normal, and it may not come for up to 14 mo. postpartum.

No, I did not b___stfeed at all, dd has always been on formula. I asked the doctor Friday and he said to give it another 3-4 weeks and if no period by then, he wants me to come back and he will do some tests. Seems like it should be here by now, I know my body took a 9 month break, but come on, I would like to start getting back on track.....and back on the pill.

Hey Dana, just wondering if you ever got your period or were you preg... If you did get it when did you...

I see this post was months ago, but just wanted to add my 2 cents for everyone who doesn't get a period back for awhile- you can (and should) get back on b/c even if you don't get a period- You can still get pregnant even if your period's not back yet!!! We started ttc baby #3 when #2 was 8 mos. old. I was b___stfeeding AND hadn't gotten a period back and I got pregnant two days in to trying!!

hey dana. I didn't get my period again until around 12 weeks. It's totally normal. Don't stress about it.

Hey guys, thanks for checking back. I DID finally get it, I believe it was within the next 2 weeks or so of my post. I was happy to see it, happy to see that I was not preg again, but now, not so happy when it comes around month after month. Oh well, just one of those lovely women things we have to deal with.
