I was wondering if any of you happen to know of a birth control pill that doesn't thin the lining of the uterus. My belief is that life begins at conception and recently I found out that if you do happen to concieve while on the pill that it can't implant in the uterus because of the pill thins the lining. I wouldn't want that to happen and I don't know what in the world to do for birth control. I use to be on the ring but I never knew this information. I was hoping there is one that only stops the egg from releasing and not thin the uterus too. Anybody know of anything??

I looked up some info on the pill to see if there were any but i couldn't find anything but i did find just what the pill does and that is really a last ditch effort in order not to get pregnant. Along with preventing ovulation the pill also thickens the cervical mucus which hinders the movement of sperm,
inhibits the egg's ability to travel through the fallopian tubes,
partially suppress the sperm's ability to unite with (and thereby fertilize) the egg, and
alters the uterine lining so (in the event that an egg is released and fertilized) the egg will likely not be able to implant into the uterine wall. (A fertilized egg would then be discharged with the rest of the menstrual blood.) I know that is not what you were really looking for but if you are taking the pill everyday like you are suppose to it shouldn't come to that. I know there are other things out there that are supposed to stop the release of an egg but i don't know what would happen if somehow one was released.

Thanks krissy for taking the time to give me all that information! I cannot find anything either...I don't think they make a pill like that but I wish they did. I go to the doc next week so I will ask her.
