Alright well my 6 week checkup is next week and im looking for some good birth control....im going to talk to my doctor about what she thinks is the best but i would also like to see what other people have liked and what has worked good....i honestly want something that isnt going to make me fat....moody...and im not really into the IUD or those things you put into your arm....or the 'ring' so pretty much any type of pill or possibly the shot....after my first was born i was br___tfeeding so my doctor got me on some kind of br___tfeeding birth control (just lower dosage than regular birth control)...anyways that worked great...i didnt really gain too much weight...i wasnt as moody...so i was happy on it but my doctor was a very mean person (lol sorry cant say what i want to say)...and after i was done br___tfeeding he put me on regular birth control (i honestly cant remember which kind now)...but it made me get huge and i was VERY VERY grumpy and i was crying over almost everything..(worse than being pregnant!)...anyways i dont want to get on anything like that again! so what do you ladies recommend?....THANKS!

Are you b___stfeeding? I don't think you can get the shot then. Also a LOT of people gain weight on depo-provera (aka the shot). The mini pill is what you want if you're b___stfeeding and want the pill -- though I a__sume your doc would know that. It's a difference in hormones, and obviously the one for "normal" not-bfing people messes you up. I'd be sure to mention that to him. Oh, and I have an IUD and I love it, you might wanna look into it some more. Good luck! ~spam

What were you on before you got pregnant the first time? I was on the pill and i loved it but since i'm b___stfeeding i will probably go on the mini pill until i'm done and then back to the regular pill but for some reason the nurse practiconer i talked to (at 2 week check up) indicated it wouldn't be a good idea if i was looking to not get pregnant for more than a year and i would like to wait a few. Why would she say that? Does the pill work differently once you had a baby? I was on it for 7 years so i feel like it is a good long term option.
