Episiotomy Questions 4th Day Pp

hi! I had my baby Monday night. It is now Friday and I feel like I am in worse pain than I was before. I am sure some of it has to do with being home and moving around more now but it is getting hard to even move! So, if you had an episiotomy, how long did it take before it didnt hurt as bad? Also, how long do the st_tches take to dissolve? And, is it possible to bust a st_tch out just by moving the wrong way or something? Thanks so much!

I had a 2nd degree tear and boy oh boy did it smart after awhile from being at home. Depending on where you had your incision I don't know if you can bust a st_tch. The only thing I can tell you is that you need to take it easy and don't do any house work, let others do it for you. Just rest and take care of your baby, I was told to take tylenol for the pain because I was BF but call your DR if it perisists and you are concerned

I had a 2nd degree episiotomy and it never really hurt. My b___t was sore when I sat down for the first 3 days but that was about it. I think my stiches started disolving in about 5 days. They are all gone now at 2 weeks. Did they give you witch hazel pads to use? I think those are awesome.

I agree with Kspa on the witch hazel pads! Or you can even use Tucks pads (depending on the price you want to pay...witch hazel is much cheaper)!!! I had a 4th degree tear with my first and had st_tches front to back...literally. It hurt like he** for at least a month for me! The pain will eventually go away, but in the meantime, take it easy!!! Tend to the baby and let others tend to you. Get off your feet and rest until you feel able. Good luck!
