First Postpartum Period

I stopped bleeding at 3 weeks postpartum and I am now 6 weeks pp and have been bleeding since last Wednesday. I am pretty sure that it's my period, but it is a lot heavier than it used to be and is lasting a lot longer than usual. Is this normal? I was supposed to have my 6week checkup today, but had to reschedule for next week b/c baby is sick. Just wondering if I should be concerned or not.

I delivered 7 wks ago. I started bleeding lightly last Wednesday. It's now Tuesday and it is heavier now than then. I only had cramping/backache/headache for the past day or so, so maybe it's normal for it to be "abnormal" given the circ_mstances. I bled less than 2 wks after delivery and it wasn't bad at all by the end of wk 1. Hopefully it's just our bodies adjusting.

Hey girls, That first period after you finally get done bleeding from delivering can be a real bi#$%! If ya know what I mean. Don't fret on it too much. Your body just needs to "cleanse itself" is how I was told. If you bleed longer than 3 weeks or so I might consult my Dr., but other than that just hang in there, it's all part the process. Congrats on your new little ones!
