I just had my son 1 month ago. Of course I did not wait to have s_x the 6 weeks like I was told. but the condom broke that night the next day i called my doc and asked for the morning after pill and she said I had to take a blood pregnancy test first, after doing so my HCG level was a 6.5 she told me I was pregnant, I of course argued this because it was the next day she did another blood test and this time it was 8 she said again I'm pregnant I don't think this is posible. Does anyone know the normal levels after just having a baby??

I'M NOT SURE OF THE NORMAL LEVELS AFTERWARDS, BUT I HEARD THAT IT TAKES 8-9 WEEKS TO GET ALL OF THE HCG HORMONE OUT OF THE BODY. I JUS THAD A BABY 5 MONTHS AGO AND MISSED 2 PERIODS AND HAD A LEVEL OF 2 SO I'M A BIT CONFUSED AS WELL. I HEARD HCG IS ONLY PRODUCED THROUGH PLACENTA. NOW IF YOUR LEVEL IS GOING UP INSTEAD OF DOWN, YOU MIGHT BE PREGO.

I had a HCG test done at 6 weeks pp (due to bleeding); the doctor was testing to make sure none of the placenta was left behind (which would make your HCG level above 0. At 6 weeks I was 0 so it should be back to 0 at 6 weeks. You could be preggo.
