Postpartum Bleeding Starting Up Again With Cramps

Hello,
I had my daughter on September 15th via C-section. Everything for the most part has been going okay with the bleeding, except I have noticed it turn brown, then red throughout this whole time. Well for the past 2 days I was down to pretty much no bleeding - I noticed a pin p___k of a spot and that was it, and when I wiped there was nothing. About an hour ago, I felt a little gush and noticed I started bleeding bright red again, this time with light cramping. It feels more like a period than the previous bleeding I had. Should I be concerned?

If you're not b___stfeeding or not b___stfeeding exclusively, it could be your period. If you are exclusively bf'ing it still could be your period but it would be a lot less likely and you should call your doc for an opinion

That happened to me about 3 months after giving birth and it was due to my hormone levels changing ( I had re-started the pill and my b___stmilk was drying up). Could be that or an infection. I would see your doctor just to make sure. Take care.

Hi... I had my baby girl on sept. 05, 08 and had my period for about 2 weeks. and it was from dark red to light pink and then again, it kept going from light to dark red. My doctor said sometimes is not regular bleeding, that is something called 'lochia' and the cramping is your uterus shrinking. If you notice a strange smell on your bleeding, let know your doctor it could be an infection. Good luck!!!
