I'm 7 weeks pp and am still having some discharge. Can we still have s_x or do we have to wait until it totally stops?

Discharge? Do you mean you are still bleeding?
Have you had your post partum checkup yet? If so, your doctor should be able to give you the s_x go ahead. Everyone heals differently. Did you tear or have an episiotomy? For me, 7 weeks was too soon . For other people, its just fine. It'll still be sore I think at first. For the first three months it was VERY sore for me. I felt like I was having s_x for the very first time. Even now at almost 10 months its a little touchy at times but definitely getting better. If your doctor gives you the go ahead, I suggest to still take it slow and steady and see what your body can handle.

I've gotten 2 different bits of advice from 2 different doctors. One told me not to have s_x until your bleeding is completely stopped, due to risk of infection, the other doctor said as long as you're careful and you feel up to it, basically do it whenever you want. LOL. So... take the advice you want I guess. I had a section after pushing for 2 1/2 hours, and my hubby and i tried 4 weeks PP... hurt like you know what. We tried again the next night with more lube and it was a bit better but still hurt and i had to stop. Much to my husbands chagrin I think I'll wait another week or so before I try again. But that's exactly what it felt like, like it was the first time again.
