SWITCHING FORMULA PART 2

for those of you who responded to the previous...and for those of you who didn't, i noticed that you two use Enfamil. Do you like it better than Similac? They put my baby on Similac Advance with Iron. And I didn't realize that my only other option if I stick with Similac is the Isomil, which is Soy. Is it a big deal to change from Similac to Enfamil? Why do you choose Enfamil? Just curious as i've heard lots of people say they don't care for Similac. I see the Dr. on Monday, so I don't plan on switching until talking to him. What made you switch formulas, what problems was your baby having?

My 11 yr old was on Enfamil when he was a baby - so with this one, I stuck with what I knew worked. The hospital gave me a sample can of the Similac and I tired it - ds had gas out the wazoo so I switched him back to Enfamil (without dr knowledge). He still had gas, but not as much, then he started in with the spit up thing, that was when I switched him to Enfamil AR (again without the dr knowledge...) and he is doing great now. I don't think it's too much of a big deal to switch beteen formulas, just give your lo a few weeks to get used to the new formula before you declare it good or bad.... It takes a while for them to get used to something new.
