Weight Loss In Areas OTHER Than The Belly

During my pregnancy I got a lot of stretch marks, though very very few on my stomach. Most were around my hips, butt, thighs, and even a couple in my calves. We came home from the hospital this past Wednesday, and yesterday I pulled on my maternity jeans (which were very tight all over, legs, thighs, hips, butt and belly during that last month) and I expected them to be loose around my mid-drift, which they were, they were really loose around my thighs! I didn't expect to loose weight in that area so soon. Is this common, to loose weight somewhat quickly in other areas of the body, and what can I do to help it along (keeping in mind that I had a c-section a week ago).

It sounds like you were bloated in those areas.

I lost alot of weight in the thighs right after my daughter was born too. But you soon plateau, so try not to get too excited thinking you're going to lose all your weight at once. Once you feel up to it go for walks, this should help a bit. GL

ashley, I didn't say they were small! ;) I wish I had lost some in my arms, personally. But I'm just glad I have my ankles back!!! I think they're skinner now then before I got pregnant. I had a doctor's appointment today and I lost 30 lbs already. and 21 of it was not Gretchen. :)

I've lost only about 20 lbs. My scale has not moved in about a week :-( infact I think I have gained back 2lbs.. grrrrrr I need to have more control over my eating habbits.

I don't have a scale in my house (probably a good thing, 'cause I'd be on it nonstop) so the only way I knew was from my doctor. I know my problem's going to be getting more active as soon as I can. Especially since it's going to start getting cooler here again in the next month or so, and I won't want to go outside!
