I was actually thinking of the same things. I think I'm going to use the nuvaring. Sounds like a good one to go with, since the bcp is no good for me. I just have to wait for my 6wk checkup to figure out what i'll do.

I have tried many forms of bc and I will tell you my experiences with each. I was first on the pill but couldn't remember to take it. Next was the depo shot but gained TONS of weight. Next was the patch but I got PREGNANT!!!! After I lost that baby I got on the pill again and tried harder to remember to take it. After I stopped and got pregnant with my daughter I went on the pill again but same problems. So I had a mirena IUD inserted. The problem is when you gain or lose weight (like after having a baby) it can move and allow a pregnancy. I'm currently waiting to test because I feel pregnant. I never tried the nuva ring but I have a friend that had it come out during intercourse and got pregnant. I recommend talking to your doctor and waiting at least 6 months after having a baby to get an IUD. Plus look at the pregnancy boards and take note of which methods are failing most. The IUD is one of them. Best wishes.
