I am just wondering, I'm not to keen on birth control. Makes me very moody and I would like to avoid going on it. My babe is just over 2months and am wondering what that chances are to getting pregnant? I have not got a period yet and am not sure if that matters? Has anyone here got pregnant while br___tfeeding or know any details of how safe br___tfeeding is for a birthcontrol?

I got pregnant while nursing, and on birth control when my dd was only 3 months old. Eventhough you don't have a period, you still ovulate while you are nursing.

True, of course. However, it really does decrease you fertility, so if the chane of getting pregnant doesn't detere you, read up on fertility awarance. Then when you ovulate the first time (about 2 weeks before your first period) you'll know it. It takes some work, though, to keep on top ot it.

I saw a brocure in my doctors office saying this: Breastfeeding is a birth control if you are EXCLUSIVELY b___stfeeding, not have gotten your period, AND your baby is under 6 months of age. That means, as long as you haven't gotten your period and are not supplement feeding your baby you should be good for atleast 2 more months safely.
