You have to do cardio vascular excercise. Try walking on a treadmill at an incline for 30 min a day. It will do the trick!

I agree with Lisa. Cardio is great for an all over workout. One thing I do with my son is cradle him and turn from side to side for about 10 minutes. I have done this everyday for three weeks straight and have lost an inch on my waist. I also do Tae Bo and Yoga. Hope this helps.
