Hi Ladies, I'm not close to postpartum yet, only 16w, but I thought I would come to you all for help since I've noticed closely related posts in the past. The thing is, I think I may have hemorrhoids. I'm so embarassed about it and don't know what to do. It is really bad at night and so itchy. I did some reading online today but I don't know what's safe to use as a remedy while pregnant. Also, is this normal to get so early on? I know they're a common result of delivery, but I don't know if anyone else got them during pregnancy. I don't have anyone I can talk to about this, and was hoping someone could help. I am currently moving, so I wont have access to a bathtub for another month, so that's not really an option for relief. I was wondering if I should try the Tucks pads or one of the creams. If some of you can let me know what worked for you, I would really appreciate it. Oh, and one last thing, I'm not constipated, and from a brief glance this morning, it looks like it's external (not internal). Thank you and congrats to all of you!

First of all, hemmorroids are VERY common during pregnancy. Secondly, just use a mirror and take a good look: it's your bottom after all! It's okay! If you have rounded buldges at your rectum, I'd say hemmorroids. I got my first one at about 15 weeks. Thirdly, don't be embarra__sed; ask your doc or nurse what to do. MANY pregnant women have them. It's okay, really. TAKE CARE!
