i had an easy delivery, i was in labor for 8 hrs. i only had to push for 30 min. i didn't tear or anything. so i had s_x 2 weeks pp. why do the dr.s tell you to wait anyway?

Its because that is when your cervix is fully closed, and your not so easy to get an internal cirus or infection. Also doctors like to check and make sure everything is normal again before you have s_x because if its not then youncould hurt yourself. Not often but usually.

I had s_x again 2 wks pp too. I had a 3hr labor, 2-3 pushes and no tearing. Of course I got pregnant again before my 6 wk check up because you are extremley fertile right after delivery (I was still spotting a bit and I was nursing so I thought it wasn't likely I'd get pg again)... so if you are starting to have s_x again use birth control!

Be careful not to conceive again, try using a barrier method.

i got the shot before i left the hospital but i heard it doesnt start working for a month

They ask you to wait 6 weeks just to prevent infection if you HAVE torn and so they can make sure youre all back to normal and stuff before you start having s_x again. I only waited 4 weeks, hopefully i dont end up with irish twins... AH!
