What do they do at the 6 week postpartum checkup? Do they check you down below?

Hi There, That is the main reason for the 6 week checkup. I'm not sure if they actually do a PAP or not. Can't remember. But they just wanna make sure that you are healling well "down there" and that your uterus is schrinking down back into position the way it's suppose to. Not to worry it is pretty minor compared to childbirth so don't give it a second thought.

My Dr did an internal exam, listened around w/his stethescope and checked my b___sts. Typical internal exam.

i never went to my 6 week check up. nothing happened to me and its been a year since i delivered. just another way for docs to make $ off you. go if you feel sick, smell something funky, hurting, etc. our bodies know to heal without a doctors help. women have delivered babies for the last 10,000 years without doctors.

My Dr just asked if everything was okay, which it was, and left it at that!
