Confused About Which Week I M In

I've just done a calculation on the internet to see which week of pregnancy I'm in. However It says my first week was 31st October, and the second week started 7th November. I didn't conceive until the 7th/8th November, so how could I be in the first week of being pregnant on the 31st October!? I thought you were classed as pregnant when the egg had fertilised and implanted, meaning I would only be in week 2, not week 5! HELP!!!!!! How can your pregnancy be counted from the first day of your last cycle when I wasn't even pregnant then......or is this just me being thick?!

the weeks of pregnancy are calculated from your last period, not the conception date (i know, it's kinda weird).
