I am going crazy trying to figure out how this dating thing works!! I am reading a book right now called... Your Pregnancy Week by Week. In it it tells me that if I am 10 weeks (gestional age) the actual fetal age is 8 weeks (fetal age) ! Ahhh! so... Then my question is that when you have an ultrasound done and the Doctor confirms you at 10 weeks... Does that mean it is you Gestional age or Fetal Age??? Help!???

When the doctor confirms you are 10 weeks by ultrasound then that means Gestastional Age..Fetal age would be 8 weeks along.....

i have had the same confusion. When i went to the dr, she said i was 9 weeks, then i went to have a U.S. and they said 7 weeks, but they never said if it was gestional or fetal age??? So my Q is: is they said 7 and ment gestional, then i was only 5 weeks, right. but that would of had me concieve when it was not possible, i know my husband is out of town a lot and we were keeping track. SO which date do i go by???
