If my due date is May 5, 2008 how do the doctor come up with that i got pregnant on Aug 11,2007. Aug 11 to may 5 does not add up to 40weeks can someone please explain to me

Hi, this is because when you conceive you are already considered 2 weeks pregnant, we are pregnant 38 weeks from conception and 40 weeks from our last menstrual period, I hope that helps. do you know what was the heart rate on the ultrasound and how many weeks were you when you had the ultrasound???

Hey sandy18, i got my ultrasound on sept.25 and i was 8weeks and 1 day. I also have irregular periods and when i do come on which is every other month i stay on for 7days. thank-you so much for your help

Ultrasounds done before 12 weeks are accurate with in + or - 2 to 3 days, there is a formula that is very accurate if you know the heart rate before 9 weeks (this can help if you are trying to determine conception) if the doctor didn't tell you at the time of the ultrasound they should have it on file you can always call and ask, Since you are not regular the day of your last menstrual period doesn't help at all, I am irregular and I was trying to determine paternity I talked to 4 different Doctors and they helped me a lot, I hope I can help you to.
