How Soon Do HPT Say You Re Pregnant

Hi, took a test Oct 12-- Neg. Took test on Oct. 23---Positive. Am I only a week pregnant at that point? How long does it take for a test to recoginze pregnancy and/or how long does it take for conception? I had u/s on Nov. 8th. May be too early to tell how far along I am, no embryo showing. HCG levels on Nov. 8 was over 15,000... may or may not be good. Dr. says it's very high for only possibly being three weeks preg. Uterus also size of 10wks... but could be due to Corpus Luteum cyst... Going crazy. I am afraid it's a molar if I am further along. My lmp was Aug 26, very irr. wont get much help from that. Took another blood test yesterday to get more details and U/S next week again... Any help out there? Thanks. :-)

thats hard to say with your last period being in august and getting a neg in october then a positve. You will have to hold off untill your next u/s to see, thats the only way being you have an irregular period....sorry

I got my results back from my last blood test. my HGC levels were one week ago Nov. 8-- 15,670, now they are 45,873. I wish someone can tell me what this means. I know I am only about 4-5 wks pregnant. Good thing is that the numbers went up not down.

I'm pretty sure your numbers should be doubling every 2 or 3 days. (I can't remember which) So they sound good! Good luck!
