I have had two previous ectopic pregnancies (both treated with methotrexate successfully) and believe I am currently experiencing my third. I was wondering if anyone else has had multiple ectopic pregnancies and what their doctors did for them to decrease the risk in the future of another ectopic. I guess I am just looking for some hope and want to hear about others experiences and successes after multiple losses. Thanks.

Hello...I am currently at the tail end of an ectopic pregnancy...so I understand your pain. This was my first ectopic and hopefully the last - we had being TTC for 18 months. I was lucky in that my body got rid of the pregnancy naturally without drugs or surgery but today is day 18 of bleeding and my HCG is still at 42...
My ob reckons that the normal chances of an ectopic are 1-2% but once you have had 1 your chances of having another are 10-15%. Have you thought about sending the dye up your tubes to check their viability...we are looking at doing that next...my ob suspects scar tissue on the tubes...as the most likely reason for getting the ectopic...and if my tubes are scarred (from an unknown infection) then he recommends IVF...because with IVF your tubes aren't necessary...
Is IVF an option for you? That way you won't need to worry about an ectopic happening again?
I really hope that you experience a positive outcome very soon...sending you my very best.
