I too had an etopic pregnancy mine was 20 years ago.But at the time we never thought that I was pregnant. My mom & I were told when I was nine years old that i would never have a baby W/O going into details I had been molested from 4 to 6 years of age & i had attained a pelvic infection of some kind from the man who molested me & because it went untreated for over two years they said the damage it caused had made me infertile.Also after I had grown up i developed polycystic ovarian disease and endemetriois & I also had a thyroid condition that also caused infertility at the time because i was not being treated for thyroid condition For nine weeks i threw up pa__sed out from the horrific pain and prayed that I would live I was 21 years old at the time.I did not know anything about etopic pregnancies. I even went to the ER on two different occasions & got sent home both times for not having any Insurance.So the third time my sister in law took me to her Dr.I pa__sed out in his office when i came to they were pull me rushed to the hospital where he was on staff.after some test the found that I was full of gangrene So for two weeks they pumped me full of antibiotics by mouth,shots, and enterveniously at the same time I had never been that sick before.Then the Dr went in to operate 14 days later and found an etopic pregnancy but the baby had died inside of my tube,and that is why I had the gangrene.The Dr said that normally the baby is alive in the tube when they remove the tube or the portion of the tube.They then told me that it had been a fluke that I had conceived then they told me because of the damaged from being so gangrenous that i wold never ever conceive nor have a baby.Two tears later when i married i did get pregnant but miscarried five times altogether but it was because of the thyroid condition Hypothyroidism,It is more common then people think. It prevents you from ovulating and producing eggs in the ovary.& the Dr did not even find out about the thyroid condition until after the LIVE BIRTH OF MY FIRST SON.But that is when they sent me to a specialist an endocrinologist. You really need to see this kind of a Dr if your planning a pregnancy at all in the future.A regular Dr/GYN or a Dr of internal medicine can treat it but the endocrinologist usually has a more defined way of diagnosing the thyroid disorder then a regular GYN or a Dr of internal medicine does.And not to offend anyone here at all but I do believe in miracles. I mean at the time i had every fertility procedure done that a woman could have done.The only thing left was the Pi-tri dish & I am not against that at all I believe that a miracle can come from many different avenues and in many forms.I just wanted to conceive my child inside of me.And also i know that our Doctors can be used mightily in our miracles, but I wanted it to be a supernatural miracle something that only God could do. So in the end of March 1983 & the first days of April 1983 I conceived my first born son. & gave birth on January 19 Th 1984 A baby that I was told i would never ever carry to term even if I did conceive I know that one of your questions were How long did it take to conceive after the miscarriage & the following procedure (dye) I had etopic pregnancy in August 1978, But then i wasn't in a relationship for over a year after that.Then i married in June 1980, had my first miscarriage six months later, then again four months later,, then in 1982 i had grown a tumor which at first they thought was a baby, but after not getting bigger in the belly & having pain the did an exploratory surgery to see why the alleged baby wasn't growing, and found a tumor with hair teeth & nails growing in it. After that big huge heart break I had another miscarriage nine months later. Then in 1983 started seeing a different fertility expert who gave me no hope at all about getting pregnant but said he believed in me & that he wouldn't give up.He but would do every thing medically necessary to help me to conceive. So he went in & tried to rebuild my left tube that had been removed with the Etopic pregnancy then he did the dye thing.And the first time it worked then a week later he repeated it And nothing It had already collapsed.he told me to go home & think about what I wanted to do.There was nothing left but the Pi tri dish procedure.It was a month before I went back & we had decided to try & repair the collapsed tube & to remove the adhesion that had encased my reproducing organs. But before the Dr could do the procedure he wanted to protect himself so he did a blood pregnancy test then a pee test then one more pregnancy test within a six hour period told me to go home & wait.but not to get my hopes up again this was just a cautionary procedure to protect himself, but lo and behold his office called me at three forty four the next day(a wed) I was babysitting.The nurse asked me if I was sitting or standing.I told her that I was standing, she told me to sit & i remember thinking please dont let it be another tumor then she said the magic words" U R pregnant"! and then they set up my appointment to come in to the office the next morning. And it was the most joyful ,loving fulfilling experience of my life. Like i said earlier after he was born they found my thyroid condition And that played a big part in not conceiving and a big part in the miscarriages. After wards I had another miscarriage then another baby boy then another miscarriage & then my baby girl. So i guess it was two years from the etopic pregnancy that i conceived again but that was only because I wasn't in a relationship for over a year.I think it would have happen sooner if I had been in a direct relationship prior to my marriage. i am wishing you blessings & luck & my prayers are with you in this most personal quest to be a mama.
