I'm hoping to get some answers regarding time off from work after a miscarriage. I am a resident of Ontario, Canada. I had a natural miscarriage at home 2 weeks ago. When I went to my Doctor last week for a check up, he asked when I'd like to go back to work and I told him the following week. To this he said that I had been through a painful ordeal physically and mentally and that I still needed some time to rest at home and get stronger. According to my Doctor, I should take as much time as I need to get better. He said that he would fill out any necessary paperwork for my job's insurance. Although the Doctor has ordered me to take time off, my job's insurance keeps calling me at home. They keep asking when will I be returning to work. I keep telling them that my Doctor has ordered to for me to stay at home for now. I'm still feeling weak and tired physically, and emotionally I'm a wreck. I would like to know what I'm ent_tled to legally for time off work. I'm really scared to get fired from my job. I would appreciate any info.
