Hi. I posted here a few days ago wondering about having a second miscarriage. What are the chances of having a third normal pregnancy now? And has anyone else ever had a third successful pregnancy after two miscarriages? Mine happened within three months of each other.. I have not been to any doctors yet with this second miscarriage. I don't understand why I would have two in a row like that? Anyways, if anyone could help me with these questions, or any stories :) I would love to talk to anyone.

Dawn, I'm very sorry for your losses! I am not succesful story myself just yet, but there are plenty of ladies here who had healthy babies after 2 consecutive m/c. My 2 m/c happened in very early stages and have been ttc again since May 07. If you can, I suggest to go to your doctor and run some blood tests. I've had them all done and nothing was found. In most cases it is just a bad luck. My doctor said to me that 10% of all women experience 2 consecutive m/c in their lifetime. I suggest you go for a scan just to make sure it's all clear for now and you can start TTC again. Best of luck!!

hello dawn. i also had a miscarriage in novemeber and i think i am pregnant right now. i didn't wait that long and i am wondering now, if i am going to have another miscarriage. its a scary thought but i can't help it since it has already happened to me. i am 31 years old and i don't know what to think. i hope everything turns out okay but i will feel uneasy throughout the pregnancy because i will have the fear of losing it again. good luck to us both. my advice is to keep trying until it sticks. as long as we are healthy, lets keep on trying. and yes, i have fiends that have healthy pregnancies after several miscarriages. don't lose hope. hope is all we have in this life.

Aww, thank you so much for replying to my post maybebaby and marylynn :) It is so comforting to be on this forum, and read everyone elses experiences. I am having such a hard time with this miscarriage, when I had the first one, everyone said that it was just a one-time bad luck thing, and i thought it was too, and got pregnant again two months later, now it is just devestating for it to happen again. I thought everything would be fine this time. marylynn, i hope you are pregnant & everything turns out ok for you this time :) & you're right, hope is all we have in this life.

Hi Dawn! My name is Dawn also and I just had my second miscarriage on December 16th. I got pregnant the first time and didnt know that my hormone levels (HCG) were VERY low. When I found out I was pregnant for the second time about a year later I knew about 95% sure that i was going to miscarry again. I went for tons of blood tests to see if my hormone levels were going up. First day when i was seen by the doctor he said you levels are low you are pretty much going to go home and have a miscarriage. Second day I went for blood work and my levels actually went up. So it became an emotional roller coaster as i'm sure you know. The reason for the miscarriages was because i have REALLY low levels and two months before we try again I have to be placed on prometrium pills to blance out my hormone level. While in the process of that I have to take prenatal vitamins because they have follic acid in them. We plan on trying again as soon as I get on those pills. I would ask your doctor to do some blood work to find out EXACTLY why your having these miscarriages. My aunt had 8 miscarriages and finally had a successful pregnancy. So I know theres still hope. Good luck to you!

Hi Dawn! It was so weird because as soon as i seen the very first bit of spotting, i just had a feeling it was going to be a miscarriage, like you said you were 95% sure you were going to too. I am going to the doctor very soon for blood tests. I have this feeling for some reason, that i may have low progesterone. I may not, its just the only reason that really makes sense to me, even though i know there are tons of other things that could be wrong. Wow, 8 miscarriages.. that does give me hope. I just have this bad feeling that this is going to be really hard for me. Well thank you SO much for your reply! :)

Hi Dawn, I am 33 years old. I had 4 miscarriages within 3 years. I am now 25 weeks pregnant and everything looks great! There MAY not be anything wrong (it really might just be bad luck) - I know 3 gals who had 2 m/c's and had a successful pregnancy on the third pg - But if you want to make sure for piece of mind, here's what I suggest you do. Get the basic tests done (progesterone, FSH, etc), also do a miscarriage panel to test for blood clotting and autoimmune issues, chromosome karyotyping, and have a saline ultrasound to check for anatomical issues with your uterus. I was considered unexplained until I did the tests and I found out I have a blood clotting issue and I had a fibroid distorting my uterus. Most dr's don't recommend these tests until you've had 3 m/c's... but who wants to "wait" for another miscarriage, ya' know what I mean!?! Once you know everything's fine, you know you will have a successful pregnancy!

Dawn, I am new to this site but I too am a multiple miscarriage sufferer. My husband and I tried for 2 1/2 years and finally got pregnant using clomid. Unfortunately I miscarried 8 1/2 weeks.. I without trying became pregnant again 4 months later. I then again suffered another miscarriage this time it was a corneal pregnancy and I lost the baby at 10 1/2 weeks. This was 8 months ago and we are back to trying again but not very successful. I am back on clomid and just finished my third round. If we aren't successful this month it will be off to the reproductive endocrinologist next month... Praying things work out for everyone that is going through this. Sending baby dust your way!

Hi, my name is Shelbi. I have had two miscarriages in the past 2 and a half years. My last one was this past July. I was almost 11 weeks. My doctor told me when I was 9 weeks pregnant that I was measuring at 6 weeks, the week following there was no baby on the ultrasound. The baby had died at 6 weeks. I did all the blood tests and nothing came back. I got pregnant two weeks after my miscarriage. I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks 4 days but was measuring at 5 weeks 5 days. Something the other two pregnancies didn't do. I go back tomorrow to see if there is a heartbeat. It's hard to keep trying but don't give up. Definitely go get blood work done.
