I am like you Angel in that I have PCOS. This made it somewhat difficult to conceive the first pregnancy which ended up in a m/c. I really want to TTC again straight after m/c because it seems to work for a lot of people. My doc says to wait 3 months which seems SO LONG to me right now! However, he said that if I were 35 he would tell me to TTC right away. Some docs say it is okay to TTC right away. For those who have heard this do you mind telling me if age was ever mentioned in the conversation?

Staci- Not sure why the Dr. would tell you they had to see the heart beat in order to call it a viable pregnancy. Not cool to me. I didn't see the heart beat till 10 weeks and though it is nerve wrecking you can't allow yourself to focus on the negative. My att_tude was what will be....will be and with the support of my husband everything will be O.K. no matter what. Stay strong. You'll be just fine.

sharon, thanks for you thoughts, my husband says the same thing, we cant change what is meant to be, just be positive and take what is given to us. I know, I agree, what will be will be, but it is so hard to deal with with so many nerves and fears. we saw the heartbeat today 6w5d and it was like 118 I guess, but the tech said you cant truly detect an accurate heart rate at this stage in pg being so early but that it was there. it was so hard to see, she really had to point it out to us. it is hard today for me, we lost our first at this stage in march 6w5d and I am praying that this baby survives, he/she has no idea how much I love him/her already!

Amy~I will keep my fingers crossed for you and send out lots of healthy baby dust your way. I had a m/c May 1st, so we are very close in timing. It seemed like I noticed my cervical mucous change on schedule 2 weeksfrom the day of the m/c, indicating I was possibly ovulating, so that's a good sign. Have you noticed anything? In general how are you feeling? It gives me such hope to read all these posts on here, and I hope it can be of great support for you, too!

laura hello well i was just telling my dh that i have never really watched cm and so i quess i really don't know i need to watch more closley thank you and i know this mite be rushing things but when will you test if you don't get af ?

Amy~I am looking at my m/c as if it were a very late and heavy af. That being said I should expect my next af by this weekend. If it doesn't show, I will wait a week before testing, just because I know that your first af can be late after a m/c. My m/c was early and natural, so I expect af to be pretty close to on time. Another reason for me to wait before testing is because my doc said she can't really see anything on u/s in order to tell if it is a viable pregnancy before 6 weeks. And as soon as I get a bfp I want to be seen immediately! The reason why I wound up paying attention to my cm is because in my case it was so obvious, but every woman is different. Hi Everybody how are you today. I would just like to know how long after a d&c do you normally ovulate. Please help me cause i understand that you will only get your periods after 6w again.

To Solange, I had a m/c on April 5 and only had a spotting 5 1/2 weeks later. I had a blood test done because I spotted last time I was pregnant and thought it was af so I was further along then I thought. I only learned I was preg. a month longer when I m/c. The test came up bfn so I am treating the spotting like a period. I started using opk and a week later it showed that I was ovulating so we tried and now I am waiting to see. Keep me posted have you had a regular period yet?

Well I figured af would be here by now so I took a hpt this morning and got bfp!!!!!!!! I am so excited, but cautious after just going through the m/c. So, to remind everyone, I had a m/c May 1st, and got prego with no af in between. Will be calling the doc tomorrow.

Angel, I was wondering if you were taking Metformin for PCOS during your last pregnancy. I quit taking mine and ended up with m/c. I have read since that m/c can be prevented in people with PCOS if they are taking it.

Hi HW, No i have not taken metformin when i was pregnant. My doc knew i had this prob but did not do anything about it. Do you think this could also be a cause of m/c?? And no one has come back with a answer for me, when would you ovulate if you had a d&c?? Please help me.
