Congrats Amy, I hope everything goes wonderful for you. I took a home pregnancy test the day I found out my baby had no heart beat and it showing a very light second line(I was 12 weeks) It was strange because the same tests when I first used them to find out I was pregnant at 4 weeks had a very dark second line. I know my hcg must have dropped. I think it must be different for everyone. Lana you would think 3 weeks would be to soon , but some women ovulate 2 weeks after miscarriage and are pregnant before they even get af.I would wait a week or two and test again. I wish the best for your sister.

Lana,
I've been reading this thread and find it to be very informative. I had a m/c on May 28. I only bled for 3 days. I just had a follow-up with my doctor on June 17, almost three weeks later, he indicated to me that I had no signs of pregnancy (from my urine test). I believe I ovulated about two weeks after m/c. My husband and I decided to ttc right away. I am going to wait another two weeks to test for possible pregancy. I do not believe my doctor would have noticed a possible pregnancy since it had only been a week since my DH and I have been ttc, at least I hope so. But to answer your question, my hcg levels decreased very quickly, but I would advice that your sister-in-law try again in one week. Best of luck!!!!

Well, I am I think 7dpo... Thing is, I am going to a music fest this week-end and may be consuming a few alcoholic drinks....Now this is when it always gets tricky. Although I dont think I have been lucky enough to conceive this month mainly because I think I ovulated before we did the baby dance I will feel bad drinking more alcohol than I would usually when there is a tiny chance I could be. So I am wondering if I should take the test I have in the drawer just to see. I would be 10-11days post ovulation...What do you all think ? (Yeah I know that when trying to conceive you shouldnt drink at all but to be honest it could take such a long time that I am not completely prepared to give up for the whole time it could take)! Chances are if I was then the test may not show it up...then again I suppose it could show a very feint line if the miracle had happened. I have actually managed to get pregnant 4 times in the last 3 years and once before and it is the going full term that I have only managed once. So even if I had been lucky, I would despair wondering how it would all end up 'This time'. Sorry to go on ! Answers on a postcard please...love and baby dust Clare xxx

I had a mc a week ago today. We were 13 weeks. I had no d&c but did get an internal ultrasound and was told I was already producing eggs. We had been ttc for 18 months when we got pregnant so we are eager to start again. My gynob said because there was nothing wrong with our baby, looks like it was just attatched too low, he would be happy for us to start again straight away.

I've been reading this forum for a week, all while waiting for af. I m/c on 5/15 naturally. Bleeding stopped on 5/23. I thought was 6 weeks but the baby had stopped developing around week 4. I expected to have af by now. HPT is a quick, clear positive. I wasn't ttc so this is quite a shock. But coouldn't the hpt be a false postive? What are my chances here that I am actually pregnant again so quickly?

Sylvie--The chances are good that if you had relations since m/c, that you conceived. Studies show you can ovulate as early as 2 weeks after m/c. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. I wish you lot's of luck!
For the other ladies--Well, I tested today and got a faint positive. I am only on day 30 of my cycle, which mine run at least 32 days and with my previous pregnancy (ended in m/c) I didn't have a solid positive until day 32. So, I plan on waiting a couple of days and seeing how things go. At least we all have taken enough tests to know they don't lie when being actually pregnant. I've taken too many that turn immediately negative. My husband is choosing to be skeptical which hurts. Oh well. Good luck to all! Love and baby dust!

Hi Jaava,
I have also recently miscarried (June 18) so know how you feel - I was only 5 weeks pregnant so I am confused as to when is the best time to TTC again. Dr has said wait at least one month although 3 mth wait preferable (as ova takes 100 days to mature and need to have good health for that 100 days - don't know if true but trust doc) - but i can't - all I want to do is get pregnant. Anyway, m/c went for 5 days and 2 days after miscarriage HCG levels at zero and did an ovulation test - came up positive (not sure how accurate it is after m/c) but I am already trying again 0 partner doesn't think it's a good idea but some of the messages in this thread give me hope - my heart goes out to you right now as teh desire to have a baby after m/c is to me, overwhelming.

I was 5 weeks pregnant when I started bleeding on May 2 and miscarried. The doctor said its better to wait for one normal period which was what we thought would be good too. When I did not get a period until 6 weeks I took a pregnancy test and got an instant positive. Surprised us because we were using protection during teh days we thought were fertile. So my doctor ordered blood tests to check my hcg levels as she could not say how far along I was. My hcg level came out as 12000 first day and after 48 hours 17000. I feel I'm pregnant more than 5 weeks but my doctor says I might be only 3-4 weeks. She wanted to u/s only after 3 weeks. I'm desperate and I can't wait that long to hear my baby's heartbeat and see if everything is ok. I'm so tensed I really wanted to have this baby . I am just praying to God and keeping my trust in him

Thanks Nancy and Amy. I took another hpt this morning and am still getting a QUICK positive. Unbelievable. I have been losely using the rhythm method for 13 years with no conception. And now 2 back to back. I am extrememly worried about another m/c, so I appreciate you all being so open on this forum. I plan to wait another week before making a dr. appt, as I don't want to get too excited right away. Make no mistake. I know this is a blessing. Thank you all and I will keep you posted.

Amy...I hope that you really are pregnant now, that would be great news. I am 7 weeks now, as so far everything is good. I am still really nervous though. It looks like a lot of women get pregnant right after a m/c though, so I am not alone. Keep us updated and my fingers are crossed for you.....baby dust to everyone!

Hello everyone...I think I am 13dpo...I did my test on Friday and it was totally bfn. I am just waiting for af. I figured if I was as lucky as some of you that there is still a slim chance I could test positive but will wait until Friday. Most likely I will get af before then.I am however, getting b___st pain and shooting pains in the nipple department every day which I have only ever experienced when pregnant. It could of course all be in my mind. I have been careful not to drink too much alcohol just in case. You never know do you ? Last time i tested +ve I got a -ve first then waited a week and got a +ve. I tested 10dpo (Friday) which is on the early side. Im gonna expect af...let you know. Hugs Clare xxx

Hi ladies! Well the doctor confirmed today that I am indeed pregnant. I'm coming up on the 6th week when the rate of m/c is high, and when I m/c before, so I'm worried and scared. I'll take all the prayers and baby dust offered. I hope everybody is doing well. Good luck and lots of baby dust to everybody!!
