Ovulation After Miscarriage Pg1265247184

Hi, I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks (in mid Dec) and have not yet had a period - it is now about 8wks later. I have a MaybeBaby saliva fertility tester which showed ferning 3.5 wks after the miscarriage. I have read that you can get false ovulation +ves after a miscarriage and assume that's what it was. At 7wks post miscarriage the monitor clearly showed ferning again. Can I assume that this 2nd time was actually ovulation? Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a missed miscarriage on 23rd Dec I was 9 weeks and a D & C on the 7th Jan.
I've read that ovulation tests can be false if you still have the pregnancy hormone in your system. I did a pregnancy test 2 weeks after my D & C and got a negative and then tested positive for ovulation 1 week after that.
I would a__sume that at 7 weeks post that it would be ovulation but I can't say for sure.

Chimpette22, thanks for your reply and sorry too for your loss.
I also had a negative pregancy test a few days before the first positive ovulation result. I guess our bodies take a while to settle down. I will wait a few more weeks to see what happens.
