Ovulation Spotting After D C

I had a D&C due to a missed miscarriage on Sept. 20. After the procedure I bled for nine days and then the bleeding stopped completely. On Monday (2 wks 4 days after D&C) I had some signs of ovulation (pain, mucus, etc.), but the ovulation predictor kit came up negative. Then, 5 days later on Saturday morning I had some spotting. It was just once in the morning, I had no more bleeding all day and have had none at all today either. Why would I just randomly bleed a little like that? Is it normal to have random bleeding like that after a D&C (the spotting yesterday was 3 wks 2 days after D&C and 2 weeks after the day I stopped bleeding)??

Hi there, I've had the same thing happen to me and my my d&c was on the 24th of September. Tomorrow will make it 5 weeks since my d&c and still no period. I had spotting 3 weeks and 3 days after my d&c but nothing since. I'm just curious if you found answers to your question? Thanks!

I haven't found any satisfying answers. I saw my doctor 4 wks 1 day after the d&c. He didn't do any tests (no ultrasound, exam, or blood work), but said that after a miscarriage it's normal to have random spotting for up to 6 months. I had a small amount of spotting the day I went to the doctor too, but none since. I've taken several home pregnancy tests and all were negative except one that came up with a very light positive after the wait time (so I think it was an evaporation line). Anyway, it's now been 5 wks 5 days since the d&c and still no period. It's frustrating, but the doc said not to worry.
