Hi everyone. I wanted to post my message. I got pregant in the middle of March 2005. Well I kept going to the OB. and then all of a sudden I started spotting at my 12th week. I bleed for 7 days and when i first noticed the blood it was light. The OB said that I was on a verge of a miscarriage. I got put in the hospital and they did some test's on me. There was no heart beat. So I got sent home the next day. Well that next day I was 13 weeks. and I had a sharp pain to hit me on my left side. It was a miscarriage. When I got to the ER blood was eveywheres. I had a DNC on may 26th and bleed for 10 days. The bleeding got lighter every day. I started my period on June 30-July-6. And my period was so heavy I thought I was gonna die.

Hi Jeri and Crisy, Very sorry to hear that you have to go through the same too. But sharing with somebody helps ! I have not started taking the medi yet as Dr also did one more blood test to ensure that i am not produing enough progestrones and we are waiting for the results. Jeri, your AF is only 9 weeks late, I think you might want to wait little bit more. Personally i believe that if things happen naturally it is better. Wish you all good luck for AF visit. Big Hugs to you too!

Jeri, one more thing, what is the HCG level and how do you measure it ??Thanks for the info.

I've heard others mention some kind of stretchy mucus at the time of ovulation, do you know anything about this

MPena - July 21

From what I understand about ovulation, there is a certain color of discharge I am not sure if it is clear, cloudy or what. But you also have a dry period in your cycle when you don't discharge anything. I would look in the internet a cycle of menstruation. Hope this helps!

AFE, I am sorry for your loss. I think you started heavy AF because your uterine lining was not ready. I have heard that if you ttc after m/c and you experience heavy AF. It means there was fertilization but the uterus was not prepared. This is normal. Try to wait one more cycle for the uterine lining to heal. I understand how the need for a baby is but with the m/c I think we really need to take time. Did you conceive naturally or you used drugs? If you are not comfortable after AF then see dr so that she can check the uterus. I have also read that after D&C there can be other tissues remaining in the uterus. With these you will usually experince heavy periods after trying. Fertilization occurs but the egg does not have a good place to move to. I am wishing you all the best so that you should conceive. Annemarie, thanks for the answer I think you should see dr on the discomfort I have not heard of anyone exeriencing this. Mpena. I have read that waiting to try also depends on how far you were with the preg. For example, those who m/c in the 3rd trimester are told to wait for 6-12 months, those in the 2nd trimester should wait up to 6 months and 1st trimesters should wait for 2-3 months. This is to make the uterine lining to heal completely. In late pregnancies the lining becomes very thin so the 6-12 months is for it to be strong again. I hope this helps. Thank you ladies for all your contributions. Keep us updated. Baby dust to everyone.

Hi girls. The hCG level stands for human chorionic gonadotropin. It's a hormone produced when a woman is pregnant and it is found in the urine as well as the blood when tested. It reaches a max. level at 50 to 70 days of gestation and then begins to decrease as the placental hormone production increases. Also to MPena, when you ovulate, the mucus is clear and stretches. It resembles egg whites. Hope it answers your questions. Take care ladies.

I suffered a miscarriage at 11 weeks. I had a d&c March 25, 2005. At the end of May I got my period. I didn't have any bleeding and spotting in between the d&c and my first period after. In June I got another period and after it left my husband and I started trying to conceive again. July 1st I got my period. We'll still trying!!! Good luck everyone!

Tara - July 24

It took me 44 days after my D&C

I had a natural m/c and waited exactly 28 days on AF. I thought I was ready to immediately start ttc again, but now I am waiting for AF #2 and will probably wait on #3. I just want to make sure my body (and mind) healed, even though the doc said I only needed to wait one AF. Good Luck Ladies! Baby Dust.

Hi Kally, just wondering, did your AF took 1 year to come back. I had a m/c and d&c done in Feb and no AF since then. I always had regular periods before that. I am very scared? did you take any medication to induce it? are there any side effects for the medications?

crisy - July 26

Hi worried. I had almost the same experience. I had a natural m/c on April 25th. Got my first AF on June second and now I still have no AF. I am 24 days late for my period! I feel crampy but nothing happens. All the pregnancy tests are negative. I'm scared. I think I'm infertile! Take care.
