I was 14 weeks pregnant, but the baby showed 12 weeks. I had a d&c April 27. I had a dark brown discharge for 2 days, then on May 4 I started bleeding like an actual period and am still bleeding (but the red blood has now turned to a brownish color). It has been 10 days of bleeding. Is this my period??? Also, we are wanting to try again... SOON, because we have heard of people getting pregnant immediately after a D&C, does anyone know about this??? Thanks

I have a Q:I miscarried 4/18/05 and bled for 10days,stopped and on 5/4/05 started what i thought was af (on 5/6 had stomach twinges and pa__sed blood clots-alot of bleeding and clots-then just stopped).It's now 5/18/05,which date do i use? 4/18 or 5/6?We're ttc.Thanks,M.

My miscarriage started on 5/11 and i thought that everything was over but now I have very light pink mucus. Am I ovulating? My doc said to wait 2 cycles. It seems like so long to wait. Is there a normal when it comes to bleeding after a natural miscarriage? Do we really have to wait 2 cycles? Why?

I lost my baby in March 2005, and It wasn't until the end of April that I got my period back, it lasted 8 days and now its May and its 4 days late... so I really think it may vary for each my doctor had said 6 weeks aprox. I got mine sooner than that but I'm not sure if having a D&C makes a difference, I didn't have one after mine. Good Luck to you.

Mine was very weird... i mc on Jan 14... i didnt get my period until April 22, cuz doc finally put me on provera to provoke my period. It was a long heavy one...I then went back on bc and got my period a lil bit sooner than expected. Now im going off bc cuz we r ttc again...hopefully we do soon :)... ~*~ BaBy DuSt~*~ 2 every1 :)

I had a D&C on 12 Feb, I only spotted for a couple of days after this. Visited the doc after 10 weeks after this as I hadn't had a period and was advised to wait a month and if nothing then revisit. Eventually got my period 1 May and its just finished 19 May.

I had a d&c and bled for about 9 days. Two weeks after the d&c I had spotting for a few days which turned to pink flow and requires pads. This is normal A/F for me (several days brown spotting then heavier blood for several more days). Although it's wierd since it's very pink, no clots, not as heavy as normal (but more than spotting, and zero cramps (that is the weirdest part). So is this really A/F? Maybe it was just too short amount of time to build up much lining and I'm sure I didn't O. Any words of wisdom?

I had a miscarriage on April 13, 2005 and had my D&C on April 25, 2005. I was told it can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks after a D&C before you start your period again. Actually mine started this morning (May 26th), so that makes mine 31 days after my D&C, Good luck to everyone of you!

I had a D&C on April 9 and spotted for almost 5 weeks. I ended up seeing my doc about 4 weeks post D&C b/c I was concerned about how long the spotting was going on. I had an u/s, they found I had retained tissue from the D&C. I had my HcG checked - it was down to 12 (this is six weeks after the D&C - usually it's down that low way sooner). Was given 48 hours of Misoprostol to try and expel the tissue. Nothing really came out, yet one week later on May 25th, I got my AF. I was soooooooooo happy to get it, I had no idea when my body would get back to normal. This a.m., the 27th, I pa__sed a pretty big piece of tissue -the size of a fig - I guess there still was something left in there. Thank goodness my cycle kicked back in on it's own, and that I never had an infection. So, I got my AF 6.5 weeks after my D&C.

Amy...I totally understand your situation! I found out at 9 1/2weeks that my baby's heart stopped beating at 8wks 4 days...I had no cramping or bleeding...What a shock!

I had a D&C on the 3rd of this month. My cycle started a couple days ago. So, this is about 25 days after the D&C.

I had a m/c on March 30th and I still have no period. Should I consult my doctor or is this normal?

I had my miscarriage March 17 and have had two periods since then. I think you should have had one by now. Is there a chance you could be pregnant? I would see your doctor. Good luck!

I am so grateful to everyone for writing into this forum. I had a m/c on May 20 and am still bleeding. I went to the doc on May 31 and he said all was clear so I hope the bleeding stops soon. Along with the bleeding I also seem to be discharging a lot of mucus, did everyone else have this or know what it is?

I had a D&C on 4/5 and I just got my first af-8 weeks later. I had spotting 3 weeks ago,but I'm not really considering it af because now the real thing is here. It is strange how the "real" af makes you feel like your body truly is back to normal.
