is it possible to get pregnant after s_x even though i urinated and showered before and showered after intercourse, because thats what i was told that can avoid pregnancies, I'm only 18 years old and i am stressing please let me know, and it was only one time. i need to know

a___lyse, I don't know where you are getting your information but you can NOT prevent a pregnancy by urinating and showering before and after intercourse. You need to find a much more effective way to prevent pregnancy, such as the pill, or at least a condom and lubricant that contains spermicide. When I was younger, I'd ask my boyfriend to withdraw just before ejaculating and even that would be more effective but is still risky. I can tell you are stressed about this so please find another way to protect yourself so you won't have to be in this position of having to worry about being pregnant every time you have s_x. Take care of yourself--only you can protect yourself. One time is all that it takes. Jessica, I've heard it could take 6-8 weeks to get your period after miscarriage. I got mine after 6 weeks, 4 days but I spotted for a few days just two weeks after the miscarriage. At week 9 I'd start to think about calling the doctor. This just takes some patience. Take care.

I got my period at the same time i would have if i didnt have my miscarriage ... i miscarried on aug.26th and got my first period on september 21 29 days later. thats what ive always been is a 29 day girl.... It wasnt all that bad it was a little longer and only a little more painful.... I cant imagine having all this other stuff like some of you get (example: MUCH longer and WAY more painful) .... I am so sorry for those of you that, that has happened too. We all have to deal with a loss and then after its all over we get to be reminded, with more pain lasting a long time . Im sorry for all of us . But it does get bettter all you have to do is remember god ONLY gives (and takes) what you can handle ... just think god felt like we were VERY strong women........

25 days after i m/c i started spotting dark blood then when it turned red it was mostly like bloody strings of mucous (stretchy egg white like)hanging out which lasted about 2 days. 31 days later the exact same thing again. i don't think it's normal

i had the same thing happen to me and my doctor said it was normal, it just the extra coming out for your healing days, but if you don't feel comfortable the ask your dr. to make yourself feel better and at peace

i just found out that i was pregnant this morning and i have a curious question...... what kind of drinks are allowed see my husband is going to a high school reunion and i'm pretty sure him and his friends will want to toast or something you know to celebrate, but i just want to make sure so i'd know wheather to say just one or none, and of what kind will be safer please let me know just trying to find out so i can be careful. thanks

i took a test the other day and it said positive is it possible that it could be wrong, i mean my b___st hurt like crazy i can't sleep face down anymore it hurts when i bend over and i'm always hungry and super thirsty, i get tired when i walk now my back hurts too, but my doctor told me before that there are posibilities of false pregnancies. what do you think?

I think it was my period, although it as extremly light, and dark brown. It came at my normal period time, about 3 weeks after the m/c.
