I've been reading a lot of posts last nignt. I went to sleep after 2:00 a.m. I was so tired, but happy, that I am not alone, and I thought that I have no chance. Of course my intuition, my symptoms, plus one positive HPT would be probably enough to know that I am PG, but when after that I've got negative HPTs, 2 negative blood tests, plus doctors telling me that I am probaly not PG, then of course you start doubting. But after I read stories here on the board, I feel much better. BTW, both doctors told me that my ovaries looks good too, no signs of cicts or any other abnormalities. I also learned that I need to ask doctor to make me a quant_ty blood test, which I will definately do. Another thing I want to try is not to drink anything after 5p.m. and then take another HPT. I read that one girl succeed to get positive that way. Anyway I will definately keep everyone updated, because I know how important every little info can be.
Little bit about myself. I am 35 yo. I have one daughter, she is 17 yo. I have no idea what the scenario was with her, because I was pg back in my country in Lithuania, and there they don't take blood tests for pregnancy, they take some sort of samples form servix, and have their own levels of something I don't even know what exactly. When she was 5, I had another pregnancy, but unfortunately had to have an abortion. Never got pg after that, never wanted and never tried, actually had protected s_x all the time. So my uterus probably don't even remember my 1st pregnancy, so it should be acting as it's my 1st after almoust 18 years.
About my symptoms: I have a little nausea, but I've been taking calcium every day, even before my pg, and continue now. I had spotting for one day on my first missed period, and then for 3 days on my 2nd missed period. I can't even call that a big deal, because it was very light pink, and appear only after I urinate and wipe - you can see pinkish. Not even pantyliners needed to be used. My b___sts are very sore, heavy and tender. Another thing I always feel like I have something inside me, esspecially if I lie on my stomack. I have very light cramps all the time. My belly very hard and looks like biger then used to be. I had lipo about 6 years ago, so my belly was very flat. I wrote before already about food cravings. Another thing that I eat everything and a lot of calories, but I gained only 3 pounds, so energy goes somewhere. When I went to dentist they couldn't stop my blood from my gums, and doctor said not to worry - it's normal for pg women. I start fixing my teeth way before I've got pg, and I never had any problems with gums.
You know even when they say that you can imagine all in your head, then I can tell you one thing - not in my case. I wanted to get pg, but at that moment when I consieved I wasn't even thinking about it. I had to go to Lithuania (my native country), because I needed to get my daughter here. That batle for her Green Card took us almoust 3 years, and in February we were going there to pick her up. I was busy with things we had to do, I didn't even count when I was ovulating. When we came back, the next weekend we went to Disney World, and I thought how stuppid of me to go there, because my period had to start right then. I packed tampons, pantiliners, and we went. When fist day pa__sed I thought oh, well, maybe tomorrow, but no tomorrow, and even after 3, 4, 5 days late I still thought that maybe stress from traveling, change of climate, but it will come any day now. Now I am 72 days late, and I don't think it's can be anything. I always been very regular. So no imagination here, plus how can you imagine spotting? And may favorite sweets, I would never imagine that I dislike them, I am a sweets maniac, even though not a fat one :) With my 1st pg though I eat sweets more then usual, and if I was imagining, then I would eat more sweets, since that was my prevoius experience.
Anyway I will be posting more, hopefully not that much. Sorry that I made you girls read all my story.
