IS A METALLIC TASTE A SIGN OF PREGNANCY

I was artifically inseminated 12/29/04, was told to do hpt on 1/12/05, which was neg. I'm now 2 1/2 wks late. However i have slight pregnancy symptoms which comes and goes, but i have developed a terrible metallic taste in my mouth which started around 1/5/05 and it will not go away. I have done several more hpt and 1 blood test which were all neg. My doctor now wants to induce my period with medication but i'm sure if I'm pregnant or not. Does anyone have any advice for me? Also, If has ever experienced a metallic taste please respond and let me know what it means? Thanks Everyone!!!! and Good Luck to All!!!!

Julie - Wish I could speak from experience on this one, but can only tell you that a co-worker of mine is pregnant now and said that the constant need to spit (i know, gross!) and a metal like taste in her mouth is how she knew she was pregnant. Although this could not mean anything, just thought I'd share. Best of luck to you!!!!!!!
