Hi Kate, I am in the same situation as you. I had s_x about two weeks ago and am due for my period around this time. However my period is very irregular, so this could simply be another slight change. I did a home test on Tuesday and it was negative as well. But, still I am waitinng for my period to arrive. I would love to hear what everyone has to suggest to you and I.

i took 3 pregnancy tests- the first two showed negative and then the third showed positive and im now 30 weeks pregnant. it is possible that you are pregnant and its too soon to tell, wait a week then take another hpt or go to your local clinic and take a blood test that will be able to detect a pregnancy before a hpt.

hi Brandy,Well i am pregnant it turned out i did a test and at first it was a negative resault. Wiated five mins and it was then a positive result. so you should deffinutly do another test

Hey Kate, Okay, I did another test - this time a different brand - and got a positive. Then I did another test as the deciding vote - and got a negative . I did these two tests about 45 minutes apart! So, now I'm even more upset then before. I did a 4th test - another different brand and if I looked really hard at it I could see a positive - but according to my sister it was a negative. Now, I am about 1 week late. I have had major cramps - but in my upper stomach area instead of lower where I usually get them. I have started to get tender b___sts in the past two days. I also have had heartburn which I never get (not bad heartburn mind you). I am tired (that nothing new though). And am bloated as I usually am before my period. So, I don't know what to believe.

IF YOU HAVE GOTTEN A POSITIVE HTP TEST, NO MATTER WHAT THE OTHER TESTS SHOW-BEING NEGATIVE THAT IS- THAT ONE TEST DECTECTED SOMETHING IN YOUR UNRINE THAT IS ONLY DETECTED IN PREGNANCIES. ITS PROBABLY BEST TO GO TO YOUR DOCTORS (OR A LOCAL HEALTH CLINIC FOR A FREE TEST) AND GET TESTED. MORE THEN LIKELY YOU ARE PREGNANT.

The Saga continues..... I went to my "Doctor" - and I use that term liberally. (Fresh out of school) He had me do the urine test again - instead of the blood test that I had asked for when making my appointment. He tested it - had his nurse read the stick for him to see if I was pregnant and then out in the waiting area with everyone else sitting around he gave me the thumbs up (Not Pregnant) - since he knew I was not planning for a baby. He pretty much wanted me to leave right then , but I insisted on talking to him because of all the problems I have been having. I do have a slight Urinary Tract Infection, but I don't know if that could cause all me issues. Extremely bad cramps - to the point where I feel physically sick. They seem to be getting worse - and effect me mostly late at night. I am bloated to the point where some of my pants no longer fit. I am about 1 1/2 weeks late with my period and although my period is a little irregular this is crazy - I am never this late! I have tender b___sts, and I have slight heartburn from time to time. I have had almost constant back pain, and some slight headaches. My Doctor gave me some meds for my infection and told me if I don't have my period in a week to come back and do the blood test - but honestly I am losing hours upon hours of sleep each night in sometimes extreme pain. I don't know what to do now. To your expert eyes - does it sound like I am pregnant or not?

TO BRANDY, Your only one and a half weeks late for your cycle, so it is possible that you could be pregnant and not have enough HCG to show up in the urine. It was very unprofessional for the doctor to disscus or make gesters about your results, and to ignore your request for a blood test. I say that you either go somewhere else or wait another week to go back and have him give you a blood test. It sounds like you could be pregnant, but Im really concerned about your pain, if it get sto be unbarable, you should go into the emergency room.

Hi Kate. my period was july 11th, however i stopped the pill in june which i have been on a 23 day cycle. my period is due august 4th. my fertile day was supposedly around the 19-21st. i took a hpc and it came out negative, but i looked at it 30 minutes later and it was positive. so..i started having a really bad pain on my right hip on 07/26/04. i went to the doctor on 07/27/04 and she gave me a blood test and urine culture. she said it was negative today 07/28/04. but starting yesterday i had a yellow with mucus discharge at night. then today i had alittle bit of brown with mucus and it stopped. i have a little bit of cramps and i feel like stuff is coming out..but when i go to the bathroom there is nothing there. does anyone think i could be pregnant and maybe had the pain because of implantation? and maybe since it was implanting..there was no hcg in my blood yet. pls let me know what you think. do you think i could still be pregnant?
