Nicky B - I was told that brown coming out is really nothing to worry about. What that is is old blood coming out. I went through that last month. It wasn't until I lite a cigarette that accual blood would come out. So I had to force myself to quit. And I've eliminated all possable stress. I was stressing over trying to prove to the father of the baby that I wasn't lying to him. So I just gave up trying to get him to talk to me.

Can someone give me some imput. I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm not due for my period until Friday but I began spotting brown Monday and it lasted for a couple days. My man had come in from Iraq for 2 weeks and we'd had unprotected s_x the whole time. My last period was on August 12th. He came back on the 23rd and left on the 8th of September. I was on the pill but it had only been in effect a week so I know it wasn't working yet. My aunt tells me I might just have an infection but my bfs mom thimks I might be pregnant. I'm totally confused. Can somebody help me or can anyone relate to my situation? Please anything will be well appreciated. Thank you.

i am having brown spotting at the mo but i only started trying this month so i dont want to get too excited.how long shall i give it before i take a hpt,dont want to get e neg result.

Last month, my special friend and I had protected s_x and I used birth control pills. But I felt paranoid about being pregnant because I had been spotting brown spots. I was so nervous and scared about the possibility so I went to the emergency (this was even after I was tested negative from the home pregnancy test). I wanted to make sure. Came to find out, it was a Hormonal Breakthrough. This is when you spot old blood (brown) from down your v____al area. A week later, my period came on. I was relieve b/c I was not ready to be pregnant. But early last month, my friend and I had protected s_x again. Recently (today), I spotted brown spot again in my underwear. I believe I am suppose to have my period either mid or late every month. I am paranoid b/c I think this may be it. I may be the big "P". I don't have any symptoms and nothings is swelling. I am just spotting and paranoid (and stressed out). Do you guys think it;s a Hormonal Breakthrough again? I am not sure so I will go to the store after work tonight to get a home pregnancy test.

klj, you may be pregnant because you did have unprotected s_x. Just calm down, and take a pregnancy test. If it's still negative and you haven't had your period, wait a week, and take another one, or go to the doctor and take a blood test. Stress can also stop or alter your normal period, so don't worry so much.

Alicia, I said that I had protected s_x not unprotected s_x. But I still was paranoid about the possibility. I went to take the home pregnancy test and came to find out, I AM NOT PREGNANT!!:). HOORAY FOR ME!! I believe that I am going through the Hormonal Breakthrough again. I am just not ready to be a mom right now. I am still young, about to go to gradschool, and my special friend is just a friend that I have been intimate with for awhile (even though I do have feelings for him). We are not actually a couple. If I am at a point where I want to be later on in life, such as continuing to keep God first, having a great career (happy and financially stable-wealthy, living my life to the fullest as a single young educated woman, being in a happy relationship as a married couple (married is the key), and my family having a great life (esp. my mom with a great career hopefully soon), then I won't have a problem being pregnant. But it is not the time right now. God is definitely watching over me and making sure that things go the way that I hope it would be for myself. I hope everything works out for the rest of you ladies who are working on getting pregnant. Your time will come.

im going through the same thing .except I havent had a period yet but I have been brown spotting for 6 days now.I feel pregnant .and I have never had brown spotting before.So im waiting to take another hpt.The waiting is killing me

I had a couple of days of bleeding in june and then it spotted for a couple of days, then on july the 11th i found out i was pregnant so spotting could be a sign, good luck!!

Since July, i have had brownish spotting instead of a full period. It only occurs when I wipe and nothing comes out on my pad.Ive taken 4 ept tests and they came out neg.It hurts to wear pants so i have to leave them un done and ive gained alot of weight.my face hands and feet are fatter and i have very bad mood swings.last month after ui was spotting, me and my hubby had s_x and then i bled a little heavier for about 15 minutes and it stopped.it comes out a tiny bit more when i wake up and also i pee every 5 freakin minutes.sometimes my b___sts feel bigger and hurt. does this sound fimiliar to anyone? a few months back i was treated for bv but i did not experience any of these symptoms.i feel pregnant.

Sounds like you are pregnant to me. You may need to go to the doctor to take a pregnancy test.

me and my boy friens had unproteted s_x and he c_mmed up me...this was about 6 days afat my period or 7...about 10 days later i had brownish pinkish spotting for about2 days very light..no need for pantie liner...cud i be pregnant..i am not stressed and its neva happend b4 and im peein all the time x

Oh my god..... I just skimmed all of these conversations for an answer to my dilemma (the brown spotting issue before the period) and I am more confused than before. Is it a sign of pregnany, an std, or all in our heads????? I have a 2 1/2 yr old son and I would like to have another baby. My husband and I haven't used protection for about 9 years now and nothing. Before my son, I had a miscarriage and after my son I had another miscarriage. I've had brown spotting 2 ways before. (1) after my period and (2) during my miscarriage. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!! Why do us women have to have these problems?? It's so frustrating, annoying and depressing.

I meant to also add that this is the first time I've ever had brown spotting before what I believe should be my period. It started out light red or pink and is now light brown discharge. I also have sore b___sts which I usually get before my period along with the bloating. ????? Thanks for listening.

since the last time i wrote a pa__sage, i started and its still doing the same thing its just a little lighter and its on and off pinkish brown.its been two days now and it seems to be only when i wipe
