Hello, This is my 1st time posting anywhere but I don't know where to turn to. I have not had my period since June and I took a at home test in July that came back with a faint line. Then I took 2 more at the end of July and August and they came back neg. During that time I was having all the symptoms..sore b___st, nasuea, etc. I went to my Gyn. for a pap and she gave me another urine test that came back neg. The weird thing is I really felt pregnant. But lately I don't and I about a week ago I started spotting the brownish/pinkish blood. My docter won't give me a blood test...I don't know what is going on...

I have encountered this myself. My period was due on November 13. On November 10th and 11th, I had very dark brown spotting. When my period had not arrived on the 13th, I took a home pregnancy test that came back negative. I am calling my doctor today since it is the 17th and I still have had no period. I will let you know what I find out. I have been trying to conceive for over a year.

okay so, i dont really have an answer. But i can tell you my story and maybe someone can relate to it and help or give advice! I was on depo back in oct. of 2005. I got my first period after the shot wore off in jan.Then i went the entire year almost of 2006 without a period, i was on no birth control. Then just this pa__s Nov. I had my first period since Jan. This lasted roughly about 3 weeks, it was very light spotting, reddish pink. And i have noticed for about 4 or 5 weeks that my b___sts are VERY sore and they feel "full" I cant really explain it. I have had cramping slightly. I took 5 pregnancy tests 3 weeks ago, 2 came back negative and 3 postive. I went to the doctor and they did blood work, that came back negative. Then yesterday i went back in to get a HCG blood test done and im waiting on the reults. But i guess my question is the same... i have had 3 days of spotting very lightly only when i wipe after i pee, and its brown. I dont know what to think at this time... pregnant or not!!!!??? HELP!

Hi girls I was in a similar situation... ovulation tester said i was ovulation on 23/12 so tried... about a week later I had brown spotting then nothing else... tried a few home pregnancy tests and all came back negative.. during this time I had the nausea, cramping, tiredness etc... then yesterday I got my period... Think if you convince yourself that your pregnant you will start getting all the side effects... Im disappointed but I havent had a period in month because of pcos... so cant complain... at least a period is a sign of ovulation.. best of luck to you all..

I missed the first two days of the BC pills and had unprotected s_x. I also had a UTI in that process and took care of that. Now i am spotting brown, but not sick or anything. Just freaking out. My body doest give weird repsonces with this pill, and i have spotted with it for the first three months (in month 5 now). Is it possible? ive been good every day since then.

I just had my period on the 28th of Jan. Today is feb 11th. Yesterday everytime that I went to the bathroom I wiped and there was a very thin light pink to a tad bit dark pink. I also had some very tender sharp cramps around where my right ovary would be. This morning I woke up and went to the bathroom and had a little thicker discharge /something and it was a dark reddish brown. Its way to early for my period and prob. to early for a pregnancy test. Any suggestions or ideas?

Hello All, I am having a lot of the same problems that I have read here. I have been married for a little over 5 mo. and we are trying to get pregnant. I went off bc in Sept. and had my period like normal in that month. but then missed my next one in Nov. I took three hpt over a three week period, all came out neg. I got a blood test done and that came out neg. Right before I would have missed by second month I started. Now this month I should have started on Feb. 10th and have not but around the 12th I started having a weird brown discharge, that is kind of sticky (sorry for the graphic detail). That lasted a day or so and then stopped and then on the 14th I started bleeding like my normal period but it only lasted like an hour and then nothing. A few days later I went back to spotting the brown discharge and that seems to be still going on but it varies in how heavy, usually only when I wipe though. I did start bleeding again about two days ago but again it was only for like an hour. I took a hpt about a week ago and it came back neg. I am just wondering if anyone has any info. or suggestions for me? I don't seem to have any other signs except for being sick to my stomach a couple weeks ago but that only lasted like four days and it came out of nowhere. We really want to be pregnant but I am scared to take another test get a neg. Any comments would be helpful? Thanks

I have been spotting for the last 10 days and I am not due for my next period another 4 days. I went to my gynecologist and they did a sonogram to look for cysts and didn't find any, but they also said they didn't see a baby and that it may be too early to tell. I am on birth conrtol pills but do not use condoms, and there are times I have missed and taken two the next day. I also have other pregnancy symptoms like headaches, bloating, frequent urination, lower back pain, etc. Does it sound like I could be pregnant?

Hey 07, im in a similiar situation. I have been taking the Pill and been pretty good about taking it on time but for some reason this past two months i have forgotten a few times and done the "take two the next day" method. I also havent been using condoms. im about 5 days late on my period but even earlier than that i started spottin brown and i a__sumed i was just beginning my period early or something but never bagan bleeding. I am also questioning pregnancy because while i understand periods are late sometimes I havent even experienced any period like cramps, just like more stomach type cramping. I usually have pretty heay periods so this is not usual for me. My b___bs are tender and i am just wondering if all this worrying (i say worrying just because i am kinda young) is just making me like read to deep into how my body is feeling in regards to being pregnant or what. I guess i'll take a test but can i ask in anyone's opinion how reliable are the take home tests and are there any like recommendations brand wise?

hey everyone...i am having a similar situation as a lot of you. I had my LMP on March 1st, was supposed to get it again on March 28th. Around the 21st or so i started to feel funny. I started to get a very light but constant nausas feeling...i have had it ever since. My b___sts have also gone up a cup size and ive had achiness in my back and sensativity to smells of certain foods. when the 28th rolld around AF didnt come...On the 1st of April i started to bleed VERY light and NOTHING like my NORMAL period. it WAS red, but lighter then usual and NO clotting. whereas my 1st 2 days of AF are ALWAYS heavy and FULL of clots. so i had light bleeding from the 1st to the night of the 2nd. then the 3rd...NOTHINg...then the 4th, 5th and today still ive had BROWN soptting. at times not enough to use any liner or anything and other times its needed. but its NOT a normal period. its just a DARK brown blood. Ive taken 3 HPT's and all NEG...do you THINK i could be pregnant and just NOT have enough HCG? Any insite would be appreciated. THANKS

I forgot to mention that i have also been very bloated...my pants are tight on my stomach and my shirts dont fit the same...ive also been having hot flashes whereas usually im always cold. I ve also been having sleep sweats. I USUALLy only eat ONE meal a day with snacking throughout...BUT the last 2, 2 1/2 weeks ive been eatting like 3 TIMES that...

Hi Visqueen, Just been reading your thread from last July to Sep 06 – I read on medhelp.org that you were going for a scan after 11 weeks of still no period and wondered what the outcome was? I'm having the same symptoms: v light 1.5day bleeding last month and now this month only light brown discharge for 2 days so far. I've done 3 hpt incl one this morning and all have been neg. I know I should probably just wait another few weeks and re-test but I'm just keen to know what my chances are? No other symptoms at all. I also didn't notice any white mucus this month (between light bleeding and current light brown discharge) like I usually do around – which I've always a__sumed to be ovulation. Could last month's light bleeding have been implantation and if so why are my hpts neg so far? Equally if I'm not pregnant but my periods are so light (almost non-existent) for last 2 months is this something I should worry about? Does it mean I'm not very fertile? Can anyone help? Am I just being paranoid? Came off the pill last november and didn't realise how much I wanted to get pregnant until the disappointment of 3 neg hpts now.... :0(

What kinds of hpt's are you using? First Response detects lower amounts of hcg than other hpt's on the market today. I would recommend trying some First Response hpt's over the next two days, and if you still test negative, make an appointment to visit your OBGYN, so they can conduct a blood test, which is more sensitive in detecting hcg levels and confirming an established pregnancy. In most cases, stress, excessive exercise, or rapid weight gain/loss can cause you to either skip a period, or be a week late, but based on your symptoms, especially the nausea and b___st tenderness, you fit the mark for "being pregnant." The brown blood you noticed could very well be implantation bleeding, which is not uncommon. If start to experience severe, or any abnormal cramping than what you're used to, followed by bright red blood, then I would not hesitate to make a trip to the ER, as this could signify an early miscarriage. If you are trying to conceive, best of luck.

Hi lost, the same thing is happening with me. I took a test 3 days earlier and it was positive and then took 3 tests after that ALL negative. Now i missed my period and I am spotting brown??? I have no clue what to do, i am going crazy too.

hey everyone, my period has always been regular and I've never missed one before.. but It's been late for 5 weeks already. I've taken 3 urine pregnancy tests and a quant_tative blood test over the past couple weeks and all came back negative. I just started some very very light brown spotting... could I be pregnant???? I thought that the blood test would be accurate after missing a period for 5 weeks...
