How long is hcg hormon still in Urin after you have abortion?

Hi - on 2/22 I took 3 pregnancy tests, all of which were positive. My boyfriend and I were ecstatic, even though we weren't trying. At this time I am 5 weeks pregnant. Two days later I wipe and notice brownish red blood on the toilet paper. I continued to lightly spot brown until yesterday and I was dripping brown blood. It was a little bit clotted blood. I was devastated. I a__sumed I had a miscarriage. But after reading all of these posts I am a little bit hopeful that maybe I didn't have a miscarriage. It wasn't severe bleeding it was mostly spotting until last night and then it was dripping while I went to the bathroon. Has anyone experienced this? Is there more blood with a miscarriage, and/or is the blood usually a dark brown?

Well i am wondering the same thing that you are... I am waiting for my period and today noticed that i was bleeding lightly. Not thinking anything of it (even though I had no signs of my period like severe cramps or tender b___sts) I just went on with my day. I I haven't bled any more during the day. Anyone have any insights?

I too have spotting and light cramps but just took a HPT and it said negative. A little dissapointed but also wondering where is my period?

I have had brown spotting (nurse asked if it looked like a bowel movement... and well, it does) for 7 days now. I am now 4 days late, but had a negative HPT this AM. So, this is what the nurse said: The brown spotting is a big sign of pregnancy (she started asking me PG questions as soon as I said brown spotting) and that it is caused by the cervix sloughing off old blood and getting ready for pregnancy. It is perfectly normal to an extent. Also, with the negative tests, many women's bodies do not show enough HCg to show on the tests. Some women have to be months pregnant for an HPT to work. If I dont have a real period or a positive test by friday I am supposed to call and we will check it all out at the clinic! Good luck ladies!

Hi, I also am experiencing brown spotting. I am 13 DPO and on day 36 of my cycle, which typically lasts between 30-35 days. Two nights ago is when the spotting started, and I actually thought it was AF coming on, because it was just a few spots of reddish-pinkish blood when I wiped (sorry TMI). Then, the next morning (yesterday) I had a small bit of brown spotting and then nothing. This morning, I have a small bit of brown spotting. My b___sts are very swollen and I have a bit of cramping, and (sorry TMI) I also have whitish dots on my nipples. Can anyone help? I took HPT 2 days ago (just before the spotting) and it was negative.

Hey Collin, it was like you were meant to post for me! I was wondering if any of these posts were current. My cycle is always 28 though, and Im know 10 days late. Ive taken 4 hpts and all negative :( Today I woke up with horrible cramps (the ones you get on your first day of your period) I was spotting light red and brown, the kind you have after your period. It's been enough to use products, but it just doesnt seem like a "normal"period. My b___sts have been sore and sensitive, and Im becoming sensitive to smells. My question is, how normal is it to have a small light period thats really late, and still be pregnant? I have a doctors appt. next Thursday, Im just really bummed I started light today. Hi Anxious I'm basically going through the same as you guys- am I or aren't I (haven't had a period for 2 months but have brown blood for the past couple of days). Just to let you know that with my daughter I had a 'period' for the first three months of the pregnancy with cramping. My doctor ordered rest and magnesium. The magnesium REALLY helps with any sort of cramping so its worth trying.

since you had Periods for 3 months with your daughter ,how did you know you were Pregnant ? did you do blood work to find out

I thought I had food poisoning after a trip to Thailand so was taken into hospital. They did an ultrasound of my stomach to check for bugs and found one but lower down!

Hi All. Hubbie and I have been TTC for over a year. I had surgery a little while ago to remove a large chocolate ovarian cyst and while they were in there they discovered that I have severe endometriosis. My OBG says that it's unlikely that I can get pregnanty on my own and that we should try IVF. I go back to see her in a few days to see what I'm going to do. I just discovered this morning some brown spotting...kind of mucous-like. My period wasn't scheduled to come for another week. I am wondering if I many be pregnant. My logical side is telling me that it's imbrobable but my heart is telling me not to give up hope. I want to be pregnant so badly!! Good luck to all of you ladies trying to get pregnant!!

I am a month and a half late on my period. I just got off depo back in november but my periods went back to normal as soon as i got off. I took 5 hpts and two of the messed up it was the clearblue easy. I took an EPT that came out SLIGHTY positive and then two that come out negitive. I finally went to planned parenthood and they gave me another test and it was negitive. I have been experiencing all the symptoms of pregnancy and i even had a small amount of brown spotting. I'm really confused and i dont know what to do. Should i ask for an ultrasound or what? I don't even have health insurance anymore. So i am stuck. Please help

From everything I've read, I think the brown spotting BEFORE or possibly instead of AF is due to "implantation." AND yes, you would be pregnant... but I'm certain that it could indicate a variety of other things as well. I've been TTC for a couple months. Its driving me insane!!!!!! Good luck to all.

Hey, my brown bleeding has been linked to fibroid tumors. my uterus is full of blood and is not exiting due to the size of the tumor which leads to my blood being brown when i wipe.

if you keep thinkin that you are pregnant they say that the symptoms all go along with you as long as you think that you need to take your mind off the pregnancy issue and if the symptoms keep reaccuring then maybe you have an std or an ulcer
