To miss Emma i read your response to everyone talking about how nobody reads the directions and so i wanted to know why you were in this forum if you were so educated on this test, and so i found your first post and your azz just like everybody else had questions about the blue lines so stop trying to act so high and mighty like your so much better than everybody else your dumb azz didn't read the directions either remember September 24, 2004@9:13 or didn't trust what you read, if you want to help other women their is a much better way to go about sharing your experiance

Well peeonastickfan, I would rather stay on here to just annoy you-it would be more fun that way!

Ladyjf, If your test was a weak positive then that is a good sign. Good luck on your next test! I bet your hormones will have increased by then so it will probably be a lot higher. Congratulations!

Wow - I see I am not the only one confused by this test. Yeah, yeah - I read the directions and understand I am not supposed to interpret the two lines - just read the words. My concern is that there appears to be a number of people who have received a "not pregnant", have had two lines, and have ended up being pregnant. As some have explained, the test also picks up LH levels which we have in our bodies in varying amounts throughout our cycles. The LH surges during ovulation, so I suspect if you took this test close to ovulation, you'd definitely get two lines - and not be pregnant. One thing I didn't know until my 3rd pregnancy was that you can use ovulation predictors to kind of see if you are pregnant. The hCG and LH are related - so an OPT will pick up the LH in hCG. With my 3rd pregnancy, I started testing about 6 or 7 dpo. I had the LH line in OPT - which is very normal - but the thing to watch was if that line was getting darker each day - which it was. It is hard to do because the change each day is little - and one of those things that you could see what you want to see. Back to this test (CBED), I tested this morning and it said "not pregnant" but had two lines. I am 2 days past my period, but if I am pregnant, I definitely ovulated late - so I would be about 10 dpo. I am going to get a FRER later to see what that shows, as I have found that test to be the most accurate for very early testing. I will try to follow up with my results. My theory is that this test shows LH - but is that second line many are seeing the normal LH that many of us have in our systems OR is it the LH relating to hCG that gradually increases when pregnant?

Wanted to add...here is a link that explains using OPK for pregnancy testing: http://www.peeonastick.com:16080/opkhpt/ The link explains that in order to read as a positive pregnancy, the test line has to be as dark or darker than the control line - and that generally doesn't happen until a pregnancy test would show positive. What it doesn't say is that the line does gradually get darker. I tested w/ leftover OPK from day 6 dpo onward and by day 9 dpo I was kind of thinking I was pregnant because line was darker but not as dark as control line. At 10 dpo, I got a positive result from FRER and the OPK test line and control line were equally dark.

I got two blue lines, then I tried the digital way and got a not pregnant. I have a blood test scheduled on Thursday. I am 2 weeks late and I am never late. I never showed on a hpt until I was three months with my daughter. I have only ever shown on a blood test.

duh!!!!!!! - June 14

My goodness ladies!!! Read the instructions...... this is a digital test, it specifically states not to determine results from the stick!!!! If it says not pregnant and you have 2 lines on the stick it is NOT a positive result.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

You have to put your nose into everyone of my comments. Why don't you mind your own business. If I bother you so much then don't read what I write. You are just mad because someone else agrees with me. About the whole whore thing, I have been happily married for over two years and my pregnancy was planned. I guess that throws your theory out of the water. I never commented on Melissa's post so what you wrote was just stupid!

Hey dont need to worry about the lines its just the way the test was made,i know i freaked out to until i bought it to my docter LOL

I took the digital test 3 times and the first two were not pregnant and when i ejected the strip only one line. The 3rd one a few days later said not pregnant but had 2 blue lines one lighter than the other i waited a bit longer and took normal test and it was positive. I am now 14 weeks pregnant!

If you thoroughly read the directions, it says not to rely on the results on the test stick, only the digital results are accurate.

Emma- the comment was made to duh!!!! not you i said that you didn't have to co-sign everything sombody writes about this stupid digital test, and the Happy Whores comment wasn't ment to be literal it just ment you two ladies are too happy. let somebody else be happy stop trying to squash peoples hopes.

emma - June 16

peeonastick- How can somebody be too happy? How is telling people not to interpret the two lines squashing peoples hopes? What the heck does that mean? Telling people to only go by the digital part of the test lets them know not to get their hopes up by looking at the two lines. You just had to put your two cents into my comment.
