im going to the gyno next week...all my tests have been negative, ive had normal periods so im most likely not pregnant..my question is are gynos able to tell you are pregnant by pelvic exam..

Courtney, my doctor told me that when you're pregnant there is extra blood flow to the uterus. This will make your cervix blue. Also, the cervix is generally higher during pregnancy. If the pelvic exam doesn't show anything, the gyno may decide to do an ultrasound, and that will tell you for sure.

Daile-thank you...do u know when this all starts happening? like how far into the pregnancy? thank you!

They cannot diagnose a pregnancy under 8-10 weeks but can only confirm how far along a woman is if she has a positive blood or urine test. If you are over 8-10 weeks, they may be able to tell if you are pregnant based solely on how your cervix feels and its position.
