hi everyone im 22 yrs old and i have a daughter who is 5 next month i am 5 days late and have had 4 negative hpts i have heartburn,peein alot,sore b___sts,and im moody i used condoms wit h my partner and he told me none broke i have no clue whats goin on i feel prego!!! somone help

Brooke- I am an RN and I know that if you are usually regular with your period that there is only a small window of time in which you can get pregnant. Most women ovulate (release an egg that can be fertilized) around the 14 day of their cycle. To calculate this day, take the first day of your last period (day 1) and caount forward 14 days. this is the day theoretically you should be physically able to get pregnant. However, since sperm can live inside the v____a for several days the window can fluctuate a few days before(ie you could have s_x on day 11 and those little guys could still make their way to your egg and get you pregnant) From the information you provided, " i had unprotected s_x on Sep.4th and i missed my period which was due around Sep.9th.." you had s_x on day 23 of your cycle and it is VERY unlikey that your change in cycle is due to pregnancy. Question: I went off birth control last month and my husband and I have been trying to conceive. Had s_x within the "14 day window". My period is now five days late. feeling really tired, b___st are not tender, but feel fuller to me, have had a strange taste in my mouth for the past two weeks and have been really moody. Took a hpt on my third missed day but it was negative...should I test again? did I test too soon? Any advise would be appreciated:0)

Taylor: If your test was negative you should wait another 7 days before retesting. Also when you first come off the pill you may have irregular periods for a few months so it may just be late. This happened to me the first month off the pill and this is what my doctor told me but you may be different. I hope that you are.Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

how long do blood tests take to come back ?? and how accurate are blood tests my friend was pregnant 1 time and she took a blood test which came back negative then a urine after that which was positive i thought blood is more accurate ???

i also 11 days out 2 neg test result i do check ovulation mo but this mo nuthin so i jus dunno

guess this is a good place to ask so, what exactly should I be looking for in an early pregnancy? my daughter might be but don't have money for the test. but she don't remember past period date.

Rose- Unfortunately all the "signs" you're looking for are just that...signs and not positive answers. Honestly the best thing to do if you suspect that your daughter is pregnant and she cannot remeber the date of her last period to know if/when she is late...I would advise you to take her to a planned parenthood that can do the blood/urine test for her for a freee/reduced cost just so you know for sure and can get prenatal services asap if she is. I am in the same boat and very frustrated. I spotted for 2 days around the time of my period 2 weeks ago. All tests are negative including a blood test yesterday. My doc said to wait another week and see if my period starts. I have all of the symptoms of pregnancy....sore swollen b___sts, enlarged nipples, heartburn now and then, fatigue, and a few days ago started having thick jelly like clear discharge. I miscarried in July and we've been trying since. I am an emotional rollercoaster. I figured that if pregnancy was the answer.....hcg levels would be present by now. If anyone has experienced the same, please let me know.

i'm having the same problem, i quit the pill last month and haven't gotten my period yet. I have had a terrible disscharge and i have been tired. My b___bs have not been sore and i was on an antibiotic for a sinus infection. I was wondering if that also could have slowed my period up. I took a test Sun. Should i take another one. I used the first respone one. Is that a good one.

The same thing is happening to me right now. I just cant understand it!

Yes I am now 8 days late and the test was negative. With you it could be to early to tell and even though the test say they can tell as early as a few days before I really don't think so unless your hormones level is extremely high. You still could be pregnant just wait a few more days.

Well I was over 2 1/2 weeks late, but AF finally came today. At least now I can relax and we can try again next month for a baby! Good luck to the rest of you who are still waiting. I hope you get good news soon:)
