hello i wrote yesterday - i was 3 weeks late - well i got my period last night which sucks! but i have read and heard of a lot of women who come off of birth control my get pregnant and lose the baby after only a week or two and they no even know it they just think they have a heavy period, mine is alot more heavy and lots of cramping so i guess i will have to try try again which is ok my husband and i have only been trying for about 3 months and on average it can take up to one year for most couples. this site is very helpful and i will keep everyone posted

just alittle info...I was a week late with my period and took 2 home tests, both were neg. Called Dr, and he took a blood test and hello..........now I have a a beautiful baby boy! Sometimes home tests do not work

Hey everyone. I am going through something similar. I have been trying about three months and never have been late before until this month.I thought for sure I was pregnant but got two negative First Repsonse tests. It eneded coming eight days late. I am a little nervous because i know that one in six have difficulty conceiving. how long did it take anyone to get pregnant their first time?

You sound like me right now. I'm only 3 days late and have taken a test this morning and it was negative. My b___sts are swollen and leaking so my doctor said to wait another week and if I don't have my period then to take another test, if that's still negative then he wants to see me. Have you gone to the doctor yet?

Hey there, wait another couple of days and do a First Response with early morning urine. You can almost guarantee that will show if you are pregnant or not. There could be many reasons for your period being late...including the excitement/worry of being pregnant!!! Good luck hon, hope you get the result you want. xx

Just a little background on what recently happened to me. I had a positive hpt at 10dpo. At 11w 5 days I started having bad cramps. I went to the hospital thinking it was appedicits. Bloodwork showed that I was not pregnant. Ultrasound showed a 5 week gestational sac and my uterus was the size of an eight week pregnancy. The doctor said I had a missed abortion. The baby apparently had died immediately yet my body still thought it was pregnant. The doctor said this was something they saw quite often. If your late and still getting neg tests you should see your doctor for a blood test. Missed miscarriages are almost as common as chemical pregnancies, just noone ever talks about them.

does anyone chart their temps? I've been told by my doctor to chart my basal temp. I've been ttc for over a year now, and nothing. It's been about 60 days since my last period. I started spotting two days ago, then nothing, today it looks like my period is starting again. apparently your temp goes up the day you ovulate and stays up until you have your period. If it stays up after two weeks you are preg. My temp is still high, so I don't understand why I'm getting my period. My temp is supposed to drop the day my period starts. So far my period is very light and brown in color. If my temp stays high for another week, i'll do another hpt. very frustrating. I'll keep you posted

Hi everyone, I was wondering does anyone experienced sore b___st b4 AF due, and no sore b___st at all when you're beginning pregnancy. My normal symptoms are soreness of b___st b4 AF and some backpain and cramps. But this time I feel no sore b___st or cramps at all, but some backpain and a lot of acne. I'm now late for about 3 days, tested last night, HPT showed negative :( Is that mean I'm not pregnant, should I try testing again later. Any ideas?

julie what test did u use? three days late would only have low hormone levels and may not be detected but if you used something like first response that detects it before you even miss a period it is unlikely you are pregnant.

Has anyone ever had this symptom before and been pregnant? My nipples have been the same for nearly 2 weeks now they are not sore to touch but they feel like there on fire they burn. My husband and i have been trying to concieve now this will be the 4th month and i'm due for a period today or tomorrow so i am hoping that it is a sign that i'm pregnant i have had sore b___sts before but never this burning feeling.

Amy, I use the brand call Accu-Clear. Not sure if that's a good choice, but it's only $7 for 2 sticks, so I gave that a try. It stated that it could be use as early as the first day of missed period. The weird thing is I don't have sore bbs at all, normally, it would be very sore like a week b4 AF is due, is that something I should be worry about. I do have symptoms like very bad acne, backpain, and what's also weird is that I started small burps all the time.

my last period was september 8th....and now its october 17th....and 3 negative urine tests

I'm six days late and have never been more than 1-2 days late before. We're TTC our fourth, so I'm very hopeful. I've taken two HPTs and they are negative, but my doctor's office said to wait a few more days, take another HPT and call them with the results. If I'm pregnant, I'll make an appt. for first OB visit. If it's negative, they want to see me to find out what's going on. I encourage any of you who are late and getting negative HPT to call your doctor. Good luck to all!

if you don't have any previous children, you may want to ask your doctor for an ovulation test. i was only 4 days late and 3 of my pregnancy tests were positive. you should be pregnant by now if nothing is wrong with your ovulation cycle.

I am in the same boat. Now a week late. Negative results for all three tests.Should I wait a couple of days a do another test before going to my GP? I am not sore in the b___sts or have any symptoms like last time apart from being tired. ???????????

I'm tried of waiting for my AF, so I took a pregnancy test. I was told that first response pregnancy test is very accurate, so I took it, turns out it's negative. AF been 5 days late, I thought I could be pregnant, but no sore b___st, only feeling very tried, gets hungry more often, and peeing a lot. I never am this late b4. My husband and I would love to have a child by now, but it's now happening, we're very disappointed of the negative test result. If I'm not pregnant, I hope my AF would just come so I can have a peace of mind. Thanks for reading, I just want to get it out of my chest.
