ok now i am confused. i thought i started my period yesterday. i went to the toilet to change after a couple of hours and there wasnt anything there. i havent started since. now i dont know whats going on. i am having bad pains in my back and abdomin. i did have to scrub my kids bedroom wall which started in the first place.

I am 5 days late as of today. I took a First Responce Test and it said I wasn't pregnant. I took the test 2 days ago. I heard that home pregnancy tests give a lot of false negatives. Have you heard that to?

The same thing happened to me & I consulted with my doctor & she advised me that she wants me to take a blood test because for some reason the urine tests are always accurate for all women. I am 2 1/2 weeks late. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck to you & my advice... get blood work.

i consulted my doctor. he told me that the test he did was negative. he told me that my periods r all messed up. he wont give me a blood test. lets just hope they r messed up and theres nothing wrong. i already lost 1 baby but got 2 helthy children. i would be gutted if i am pregnant and that yesterday when i started bleeding meant something bad. i still havent seen anything since last night.

Hello Ladies, I have enjoyed reading all your comments and being apart of your journey. Kristy, I too am from Australia. My story too is a quirky one. I am now 17 days late - 44 days since last AF. 12 or more ( got a little excited at the prospect) hpts (3 Different brands) all tested POSITIVE. (kept testing to watch the line get darker so I could actually believe it to be true!) 2 blood tests and Dr's Urine test (taken from same batch of pee that 2 different brand tests showed positive) all tested NEGATIVE. Breasts are firm and enlarged, but not sore, calculation of date of conception is exact for activity with husband, no AF, often tired, pee alot, but no morning sickness. Was pregnant once before about 18mths ago and miscarried at 9wks. That pregnancy was ideal, also, no morning sickness. Only knew as Urine test positive 1 wk late both htp and Dr and blood tests confirmed. Nipples now appear to be going darker, no sign of AF, but now hpts are testing negative since 20th Jan despite testing obvious POS on 19th Jan. It is very confusing and like all of you, incredibly frustrating. Reading on different sites so many people's stories of not getting positive blood tests or even testing positive for 2 to 4 months was very encouraging, but no one had tested positive first on hpts. Like I said weird one, but I guess time will tell. Because now testing neg on htp's you expect AF to start any day, but b___sts appear to be continuing to change - they are like firm grapefruit at the moment and I just noticed yesterday that the nipples appear to be changing to a darker colour! Two dr's have said do not believe menopausal - hope not as desperately want kids of my own. (I'm 41) any way - good luck to all and I will keep you posted.

Hi all..i hope you all still have hope! My period has still not arrived and i am so confused! I have my first blood test tomorrow morning and i`m so scared its going to be neg. again. i don`t know if i should trust those hpt and i don`t know if it might even be too early for a blood test to detect it. I really want to be pregnant and just want to know for sure.i wish everybody the best and i keep you all up to date...xx

Aussie Mercedes... Have you had a blood pregnancy test done? I had a similar experience, all of my hpts were positive, I go to the doc for confirmation, and his is neg! It took some convincing but I managed to get him to let me go for blood work (he was not my family doctor... just a walk in guy) we get my blood work back and of course, I'm pregnant! He wasn't even going to do the test! He said there was no need because his urine test is "very sensitive". I knew I was pregnant, I've known every time, and this is my 3rd. I have 2 girls now. and I'm 13 weeks now. Beg if need be, but get that blood work done... or ask for an ultrasound! Then you can see for sure!!! Good luck!!!

same here: was supposed to have my blood test today but the doctor refused after just having one look at me. he said hpt are so sensitiv that it is impossible for me to be pregnant. Thing is: he did not ask any questions, he just refused to help me with a BT and said i have to wait another 3 weeks and then come back.this is ridicoules and i still don`t know whats going on with me! I get myself another hpt this afternoon and hope for the best.so confused

I am almost two weeks late on my period, but the hpt I took last week came out negative. Could I still be pregnant and when should I try the test again?

Hi Ladies, thanks for your response Vera. UPDATE: Well, I am now almost 3 weeks late with AF due again next week and no signs of it arriving. In the weirdest of circ_mstances. I was testing positive to hpts - 2 blood pregnancy tests 1 week apart both Negative as well as Dr's Urine Test Negative. Then my hpts started showing Negative, and disheartened I started to expect AF any day. Today however, hpt's are now showing faint positives again - really weird!! Have appointment with a family planning Dr on Saturday and going to request an Ultrasound to let me know once and for all. VERA, good for you for standing your ground with the DR and Congratulations. I hope that you have an uneventful pregnancy and a very healthy baby!! LAURA & AMANDA have faith - I have heard alot of success stories about people who have tested negative up to between 2 and 4 months and still been pregnant ( I'm hoping to be one of them LOL)/ Keep me posted, I will keep on checking the site for your news one way or the other. PS, I am a__suming that alot of you are from the US, down under in Australia our Dr's are not as stiff when we request tests they generally do them! I have never had one refused, and if they did I'd just go to someone else. I so understand all of the uncertainty you feel as it is so nice to know a definite answer one way or the other. i am from the uk and still confused. as i stated in my last message i bled on the 19th but stopped a couple hours later. well yestarday i bled again but this time it was old blood it was brown and again didnt last long. when i went to change a couple hours later it had stopped. i called the doctor they told me not to worry my periods r all mesed up. at the night time i had bad tummy pains. i ended up going to the emergency doctors. they did another pregnancy test which again came back negative. he did a test for infections. that came back as a slight infection so instead of doing further tests on y my period has started he is treating me for infections even though the pain is where my ovaries, tubes, pancreas and kidneys r. best of look everyone.xxx

ANGEL - try not to worry too much, go and see another doctor or ask to for a referal to a gynocologist. You can have Negative Urine & Blood Tests if it is early days. If you are experiencing pain you need to find out if it is potentially and early miscarriage or make sure there is not an Ectopic pregnancy. When was your AF due? Were you late? HI LAURA - I'm glad my words helped to ease your conceren!! You and I are in very similar circ_mstances and it is nice to know that we are not alone!! Having someone to vent our fears and our hopes is a good thing!! All I can say is that I am now 3 weeks late, no sign of AF, and I have never been this late accept when I was pregnant the 1st time. This would be my 2nd pregnancy. I lost my first one at 9 weeks 18mths ago. I'm going to see a different Dr on Saturday that specialises in ladies issues and I'm going to request an Ultrasound and another blood test. I'm terrified of getting a NEGATIVE, but the U/s will clear things up for me once and for all as I calculate that I should be 7 weeks (baby 5weeks), but I would rather KNOW one way or the other than keep on torturing myself. How weird is it to get more than 12 POSITIVE hpts, then 2 negative blood tests and negative dr's urine test, then 5 Negative hpts, and now 3 slightly positive hpts. TOTALLY BIZAAR!! Aussie Mercedes, laura_u. Thank you for your support. To your question i was due on on the 3rd january but it didnt show. I am now 3 weeks late same as you Aussie Mercedes. I have taken 7 home pregnancy tests and 2 doctors urine tests all negative. If i go by 28 days after 3rd to see my next period it should be 31st january but i am going to leave it untill the 7th february to see if i show then. If i dont then i am going to go hard on the doctors as i know there is something wrong. My partner keeps telling me that i am not pregnant and that there is nothing wrong. which doesnt help me in the slightest. it just makes me feel as though he doesnt care much about what is happening inside me right now even though i had really bad tummy pains yesterday. the pains have calmed down at the moment and touch wood that they dont come back. I read on the internet to check up on the antibiotics the doctor gave me last night to see if i can take them while being pregnant just incase and i can, so i'm continuing to take them. the doctor isnt 100% sure that i'm not pregnant. he said there is a possibility i could be pregnant and left it at that. well good luck to both of u as i read you both want a baby. take care xxx

I'm in the same boat. 18 days late. ALL TESTS neg. I called the Dr. again yesterday and they said that they didn't want to see me unless I was 3 months late. What kind of crud is that? I have never missed before. I was only late once and that was because I was on a medicine that delayed my period. I'm so confused. My husband doesn't know what to think w/ my mood swings and cramping and "hunger" issues. I wish someone could just give me a definite yes or a definite no!
