Well I just came back from the drs, I said I was late and had funny pains etc but had taken a test at home that was neg. He said need to go to hosp for a urine test (but didn't mention blood) as the home tests are sometimes wrong. I felt kind of not listened to and shoved out the door as I usually do at the docs lol, but will go trotting off to have the test tomorrow (have to wait till the end of the week for results). Reason - I'm getting married in January, I do desperately want to have children at some point - but now is not a good time if I look at it logically - however I would be over the moon if I was and we would cope - I just want to know!! But no, we weren't trying (in fact I don't even remember there being an accident which makes it more odd), but also makes me think that surely I'm not desperate to convince myself and so these symptoms are real and I'm not going mad??? I don't know... Does anyone else have really really painful tired legs after walking not very far not very fast?? Was a struggle even walking to the docs surgery today - even if not pg there if def something up with me - feels something is up inside.

I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of spotting is a__sociated with being pregnant? By this I mean does it always have to be brownish in color? I cannot remember anything from when I had my son I was only 18 and didn't know I was pregnant until I was almost 2 months but I do remember thinking I was on my period while on vacation. So now what I really want to know is if your spotting can it look like normal blood because I don't know whether I'm on my period or not the blood is a very light red and not much of it. So, does anyone know?

I was expecting my period around the 15 or 16 of March but nothing......which now makes me 13 days late, almost two weeks. I took a total of 4 tests, two the first week and two the second week and still negative. It's crazy I've never been preg. b4 but thought I was, I had symptoms of freq. urination, swelling of stomach, nipples were sore and red, when I would eat sometime after I would have acid reflux, gas, emotional, tired the first week, but now up early as 6 am and not tired???? (but I do go to bed at 9 pm) I don't know what to think, my bf thinks I'm preg. and says maybe it's too early, but I'm ready to give up:( I just want my period if I'm not! I do workout a lot and run but I know of lots of women who were preg. and didn't know who ran marathons and worked out hard. Any one have any comments or suggestions...... please???

I say go to the doctor and take a blood test and see what the results are then.

I was due on the 13th March too and am still waiting for a period, had absolutely no bleeding whatsoever, and had 3 neg tests. So i guess ill have to wait a bit longer and then retake a test, if no signs then guess im off to the doctors!! ill keep u filled in!

...by the way, I have to wait 7 DAYS to get the results back of my urine test at the drs! I think that's outrageous, everyone else seems to get results...even blood back the same day or the next. My nerves are fried, I couldn't handle the waiting, got another home test today, still negative :-( but didn't go to work because felt so ill. Stomach really cramping and back ache. Even my mum commented on how pale and washed out I look... Please keep updating on your situations, it's a real encouragement to know other people are going though this. Oh, my tummy also really hurts when I push it out, well not push it out lol, just you know when you stand in front of the mirror (back in the days when you weren't actually worrying you were I mean!) and let it all hang out and pretend you're pregnant, it really hurts to do that...and I only fit into two pairs of trousers at the moment. Getting scared cos if I'm not pg, what's up???

hannah, a urine test at the doctors is usually just the same as a hpt. that is how they do it at my doctor and you get your results back on the spot. you can ask any of the ladies in the "trying to get pregnant" area of the forum and they will all tell you the same thing. a blood test should only take two days to get back. i don't know why a urine test would take so long.

i am 19 days late and went to the doctor for a blood test yesterday. i have taken 12 hpt's and they are all neg. the urine test they took at the doctors yesterday was also neg. i have sore b___sts and am feeling a little fatigued, and have to pee alot. i have been trying to get pregnant for a year. i am very frustrated with all of this. if i am not pregnant, i am going to freak out thinking there is something wrong with me.

seems as though there are alot of people rowing the same boat as me..I am 34, 3 children, had my tubes tied before I came home from the hospital with my 3rd and I am a week 1/2 late with my period. I did 2 preg tests that were both negative. My husband has "super swimmers"-didn't take us long to get pregnant the last time so wondering if one of those little devils made it past the tied tube. I know it can happen after you've had your tubes tied but I'm kinda confused by the negative tests and worried about being tubal pregnancy....any suggestions would be appreciated!! thx

i am in the same condition.i had my last periods on 21st,JAN,2006.TODAY ITS 29TH MARCH,2006. WELL I DID 5 PREGNENCY TESTS AT HOME,THEN FINALLY I WENT TO THE DOCTOR.HE AGAIN DID MY TEST IT WAS STILL NEGATIVE.HE SAYS I AM PROPABLY NOT PREGNENT.CASUE NORMALLY MY PERIODS ARE OFTEN 15 TO 20 DAYS LATE,BUT THIS TIME THEY ARE 36 DAYS LATE.SO I AM REALLY WORRIED THE DOCTOR TOLD ME TO WAIT ANOTHER 2 WEEKS IF I DONT HAVE PERIODS THEN I SHOULD GO FOR A PREGNENCY TET.I DONNO I SMOKE SO I AM REALLY WORRIRD CAUSE I DONT WANNA HARM MY BABY.WELL GOOD LUCK GIRL.

Tish - I know, my dr is pap - they don't do any tests on site you have to go to the hosp for a blood test and the urine test you have to drop at the surgery then it gets collected and taken to the hosp - I asked how long cos I thought it might be quicker if testing for pg...noooo 7 days. It's my fault I didn't demand a blood test at the same time though, cos that will be another week wait. Tish, let us know your results, thinking of u.

Hi everyone, I am now six days late and as many of you never ever!!! late I've done four tests and all neg. Have been trying for nearly two years with one miscarriage. I have sore b___bs and very mild period pain on and off. I am so confused and frustrated!!! This whole thing is driving me mad. If im not preg then i just want my peiod to come so i can start a new cycle!!! Any advice

I am in a similar situation too. Have been trying for 2 months and delayed by 7 days. Negative HCG test but have sore b___sts and I feel they are swollen too. Feeling very tired. Had cramps beginning of last week but its fine now

This prob sounds like a really odd question but does anyone know of people who have been pg but haven't had really sore b___bs? That is the only symptom I don't have, well, they are sometimes sore but in the context of how rubbish all the other things are making me feel I wouldn't rate it as badly as other women obviously get it...do u think it is related to size at all and the amount of growing (or not lol) that they have to do?? I know thats a bit of a crazy question lol, sorry!
