hi there. in same boat . 5 days late preg test neg. will be number 6 . never had this before. only thing to do really is see gp for blood test. more precise. will be doing the same if nothing in next 3/4 days.

I'm so glad I found the forum. I went of bcp about 3 months ago and my last period was only one day. This time I haven't gotten yet. I'm about 8 days late today and have taken about five pregnancy tests all negative. I thought I was broken or something. It's nice to know that I still have a chance to be pregnant. Now I'll keep everyone posted on what I find out.

Im 6 days late and I took 2 test both negative I think im just going to try to pee in the morning and if its negative then ill wait another week or so to take another one. I think Im pregnant cause Im like a robot when it comes to my period.

Im going through the same thing. Why arent these tests more sensitive. My sister had to wait 2 weeks after AF was expected to get a positive. Dont lose hope. Here is my story if anyone wants to comment. Hi all , I hope some one can help me out there. I had my last period Sept 20th and my husband and I are trying to conceive. I have an on average 38-40 day cycle which means I should have started October 28th-30th. It is now Nov 5 and still no AF. I have taken a pregnancy test but it was negative. How long should I wait before taking another. My sister had to wait till 2 weeks after expected AF for positive with her second. I have a lot of symptoms....cramping, bloating, tender b___sts, fatigue, and for some reason insomnia. What do you think?

It is not so much as the test not beig sensitive as much as how much HCG hormone you are producing at that time. A blood test will tell you right away, if you have a Lab near by they can draw your blood for you.

I can completely understand what you are going through. I used an Aimstick pregnancy test from BabyHopes.com (http://www.babyhopes.com/pregnancytests.html) and it came up (-) in 30 seconds. I ovulated on the 23rd and was due Sunday for my cycle but all I've had is discharge on TP (not really anything) and SEVERLY tender b___sts (each one feels like a 14-lb bowling ball). I'm cranky like AF is here but its not like my normal cycle. ~wishes~

I'm 3 weeks late and on the pill (Yaz). I have only been on it for 3 months, but all of my periods (with and w/o BC) have been regular (and only 3-4 days). I've taken two hpt's and both were negative. For the last week I've been suffering nausea, migraines, horrible dizziness, and fatigue. I slept ALL weekend. My concern is that I just got married, and the whole week before the wedding, I had diarrhea. I know that can sometimes interfere with BC. What's wrong with me? Am I getting false results?!?

Hi all, I usually have my af "on-time" on a 28 day cycle. I was 10 days late just this week. Last week there were very odd weather changes... like hot sunny windy day to very cold day... basically the weather was all over the place (Sydney, Australia). Plus not to mention the stress at work. After my 10 days being late, I had spotting for a day then my normal 1st day period flow. I was worried as my fiance uses condoms all the time and he always checks and gives the okay. So, I guess the combined weird weather and stress delayed my period this month (or "reset", whichever way you look at it).

hi there, im in the same situation as all you guys.Firstly im 21 and from the uk.My last period was 10th November, that makes me 8 days late. Me and husband are not ttc.But now im hoping i am.The only symptoms i have is tiredness and achy hips(is that even a sympton?) no sore b___st, which is strange as i alsways get them b4 af is due. Hi all- I was in the same situation, no period but negative test. My hubby and I have been trying for 3 months. My last period was 11/14, and I tested with a "First Response Early Result Test" the first day of my missed period. It came back negative, to my dismay. I tested again the next day, again negative. I was so upset, but found this site and did some reading - then figured if I still hadn't started my period in 3 days then I would try again. Well, I guess I was testing too soon after all, bc it came back as positive as can be this morning!!! I'm so excited, and just want to say that I'm so happy I found this site, bc my hopes were crushed until I read this string of messages. Good luck to all of you!

Hi All Can someone help me please, My last period was 22nd november and i was suppose to have a period the 17th december but has of today nothing im 9 days late, i took 2 tests last week and the 2nd line on both of them were faint but you could make out it was there, but i waited to see for period still nothing had very bad cramps for the past 2 days thinking it was my period coming but still nothing so I took another test just and it came up negative, my b___sts are so tender i cant bear to touch them myself to check them, do you think i could be pregnant or not, i would really appreciate any advice, I dont want to go to the doctors just yet incase it is negative but 2 tests had faint lines of positive.. can anyone please help... by the way im not stressed or anything like that for my period to become late so i know its not that, but im never late.. please help.. =

2 faint positive lines are positives. Go to the doctor for confirmation, but it appears darling that you are pregnant!

Thank you to all of you who've posted here. I NEEDED this message board! I currently am 13 days late. I've taken 3 hpt's that all were negative. Yesterday I was at the clinic and their urine test and blood test were negative. I was just told to wait a week and then come back for another round of test. We're NOT trying, but after the last 2 weeks of wondering - I want a baby. I'm sure I am (I had baby 4 years ago) preg - three days of horrible nonstop cramps, headache, metallic taste in mouth, fatigue, and slightly moody, plus I just feel pregnant. And I am NOT stressed out - oddly I've been VERY calm. Guess I'll just have to wait until next Wednesday and see!

I talked to my friend today who is a nurse. I learned so much! I have a 33 day cycle and informed her I was 3 days late. Wrong! She said I am one week late! She said wether I have a 28 day cycle or 33 that when you are considering if you are late, to work from a 28 day cycle regardless of how long your cycle is. She also informed me that HPTs are very rarely reliable in the first week of being late. She told me not to bother testing again until I am 3 weeks late! Good Luck to you all, may you not be nearly as crazy as I am with the waiting!

Got my period today. Two weeks late. Nurse said it's nothing to worry about. Good luck to the rest of you.
