maryb318 how many days late before you got it this morning?.......i need to know i am still waitng for mine 10days late,had s_x last on the 5th of aug and it was protected.......been eating a lot but the heartburn is gone and the mettalic taste in mouth is gone as well.

Don;t know what to say except here I am in the same boat as many of you. I have been on several types of BC because my body has a hard time with them. I stay on one kind for about 2-3 motnhs and then switch. Depsite all of the switching, I am always right on time for my period. Never late, even a day! A few years back, I was on the low dosage pill and forgot to take one and got pregnant. I did not know, kept taking BC and miscarried when I was 1 month along. I switched from the pill after that so I would not have to remember as much. I tried the patch, the ring, shot, other pills, etc. My LMP waso n July 11 and I began LoEstrin FE 28 on July 15. I did not take my pill on July 26, as I was fasting for a colonoscopy. forgot take 2 the next day and had s_x on July 28, 2 weeks after my LMP, which is when I would normally ovulate. Well time for AF came, and nothing. I tested a couple of times, all negatives. Went to the military doc, she told me to wait, it may be too early and told me to stop taking BC until I got a period because of what happened last time. I pay very close attention to my body and I have been having TONS of preg symptoms. I had sore b___sts for a week, could not even move, now they are just tingly, but not any bigger. I have been nauseous in the morning and afternoon. There are certian foods I do not even want to look at. the worst has been the headaches and fatigue. I am normally very active but i just want to pa__s out every chance I get. And my head is killing me!!!! I also got a sinus infection. Major lower back pain and my abdomen feels like osmething is tugging at it. I have a lot of clear v____al discharge also (sorry to gross anyone out)I am not very stressed about it, so that my mind doe snot start making stuff up for me. I would be excited, although it was not planned. I am waiting to see if I get my next period, before I do anything else. My mom failed 3 blood tests and several urine tests when she was pregnant, so I am just waiting it out. Any thoughts?...

hi tara ............its a good idea to stop taking anything tilll you know for sure ...............will you be having a blood test to see?

Yes, but I was going to wait a little bit longer. We are army, and our post isn ot real keen on just giving blood tests until there is a positive HPT. Since it took my mom's body so long to show anything (3 months) I figured I would wait longer. My symptoms get worse daily, but theo nly thing I do not have is growing b___bs!

UPDATE FROM ME GIRLS, AF CAME TODAY AFTER EXACTLY TWO WEEKS LATE, VERY WEIRD CAUSE I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE BEFORE.GOODLUCK TO THE REST OF YOU GUYS AND OH I AM HAPPY CAUSE AM SURE NOT READY FOR BABY NOW.I AM A HEALTH STUDENT AND PVAMU.EDU

BFP for me!!!! :-) Hi All. I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. During that time, I took one last HPT and got a negative. I decided it wasn't meant to be that cycle and tried again (I use ovulation predictor kits from Wal-mart). It turns positive right before ovulation. Here I am two weeks later and had a weird stomach ache on Sunday...causally got out an extra HPT from last time. I won't be late for three more days, but have BFP's show up for the past two mornings. Tomorrow I have an appointment to confirm with the doctor. I will be in shock if there is any way this little one is from last cycle and just showed up. Either way, I am thrilled. DH does not know yet, waiting for the confirm. Just wanted to share some hope! If this indeed is a baby from this cycle, then I believe my cycle last month was off so the timing would be perfect THIS MONTH. Things happen for a reason. I will post the results after my appt.

An Update Already... I went to my OBGYN this morning, took in my sample for the lab...and it came back Negative. I couldn't believe it. I just did another HPT last night and got a strong Positive right away. My doctor ordered a blood test and now I am waiting for the results. They said I would know this afternoon. I've had four + HPT now. It is frustrating. I would so love to tell DH but I need it to be certain, not get his hopes up.

More Updates: The nurse called yesterday and said the results of my blood test was "Weak Positive". She said because I may not be late quite yet (hard to tell by my last cycle) I can be cautiously optimistic. They then sent my lab for a quant_tative blood test which will say exactly how much Hcg there is, and tomorrow I go back for another blood (beta) test. If the numbers doubled or increased significantly, it is a good sign. This morning I took another HPT and got a Dark Positive Pink Line immediately :-) Remember yesterday the dr's urine test result was negative? The nurse later told me really it was "Inconclusive" so they couldn't say it was positive. There was a very faint line she said. At home they are Dark lines...so I would not give up hope out there if you get a neg. dr result early on. Anyone else have an update?

i am worried I am not pregnant but i am on day 46 of my cycle and still no period I have had a 50 day cycle before i don't feel like its comeing anytime soon what is wrong with me?

I am so glad I found this forum and relized that so many people are in the same boat as I am. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for the past 9 months. My periods have been regular like clockwork (25-28 day cycle) and I have never missed one. Early in August, I had an HSG done and everything seems normal. Husband's sperm count is normal too. I am now one week late on my period. During this week, I had two negative HPTs , one negative urine PT in the doctor's office (yesterday) and one negative blood test (yesterday). I thought the blood test was pretty definitive in being able to tell whether or not one is pregnant but my doctor wants me to repeat in a week if my period doesn't come by then. I'm so desperate to be pregnant - it was bad enough trying to conceive every month and failing but this 'not knowing' limbo land is 10 times worse! It just seems to me that everyone around me is progreating with no problem... WHY ME?!?!?!

twilliams- Hang in there. The not knowing is turtuous on your emotions I know. Try to keep faith. Two or three days can make a huge difference in your levels if did conceive this cycle. If your dr. wants you to come back in a week that would give time for your numbers to show up. Update for me: I had my second blood test today, after getting a "weak positive" blood test Wednesday (and negative urine test). I had gotten 5 positives at home. My Hcg's have not only doubled, but TRIPLED!! The first blood test was done so early, they couldn't give a confident positive. Now they said relax and stop taking HPT's, I am pregnant!! My advice to anyone trying...learn all you can about over the counter Ovulation Predictor Kits, Clear Blue Easy...when it turns positive you know it is the best time to try. BD every other day (instead of every day) keeps DH's sperm count high and more potent for lack of a better word. Also, I am not convinced the doctor tests are more sensitive than First Response earlly detection home pregnancy tests. I was showing strong + at home (they detect levels at 25). The nurse said my first blood test showed Hcg at 49.6, that's almost 50! But their result for me was "weak positive", like it was questionable still. Good Luck to everyone!

It is so nice to find people going through the same thing as myself. Currenly a week late and done 4 preg tests, all of which were negative. I was pregnant once before late last year but didn't work out. At that time had postive test by now and felt very tired. This time have nothing so very confused. Don't want to get my hopes up but want to know one way or the other. How long do you need to take tests for until you know it's just a strange incidence where ou miss a month, and how do you work you ovulation date out for the following month?
