Well jst an update for thoughs who are reading the forum.went to the docs yest she sending me for a scan as my progestrogen levels aree low n estrogen levels are high so need to wait for m y scan appiontment to come through can take up too 4 weks i hate this waiting and waiting my mind is working overtime!

Hi all...just to let you know, i am on day 19 from the 1st day of my last period....i started on day 9 taking the ovulation tests and charting my temp i should of started my temp taking on the 1st day of my period but i didnt have the equipment ready.....my temp seems to be up and down....went really low on day 14?? could i have ovulated?? i think i should of taken 2 tests a day rather than the 1..the test was negative...and still negative now.....so if i didnt ovulate then it looks like i could be a 35 day cycle...which means i should be ovulating any time now, i am have a little abdominal pain so maybe it could happen in the next few days....going to start taking my tests 2x a day over weekend..will let you know if the tests/temp charting work, fingerscrossed it could help us on our way to concieving...its been 7 months now since i came off the pill, so hopefully....something wonderful could might happen......will keep you updated xxxxx baby dust to you all xxxxxx

Hello everyone, me and my finance have been trying to get pregnant for a year and almost 3 months now. we have had many scares :-/ but yet no baby yet :-( we so badly want a baby its crazy. we are now at the point in time were we are about to give up on trying :-( we do not use lube cause it has been said that it actually kills 75% on the sperm and are to using egg whites if lube is needed. no more coffee for me cause it lowers your chance by 50% and trying to keep life as stress free as possible because that will also lower your chances. i am having more vitamin C and he is eating more zinc in the bed we no longer try to have a baby we just keep the love in the bedroom and that is the best way to conceive. if anyone has any hints they can give me please i am open to try anything at this point. :-)

So an update...AF arrived very early Friday morning. I am still going to my Doctor Friday morning because my Husband and I want further testing done. It's been a year of trying and 3 months since our devastating miscarriage. I am scared out of my mind that the D and C messed up my body. Any thoughts??

My Partner and I had been trying for over a year when we went to the doctors for tests, i had my blood done at the GP's surgery and everything was fine apart from my progesterone level was borderline so i was referred to the OBGYN, over a 3 month period they test everything, I had a smear, a test to look and see if there was an issue with my tubes, blood tests and my partner had a sperm test, they do the tests over a 3 month period as some have to be done on a specific day within your cycle. After the 3 months everything came back clear apart from the progesterone test again, basically some months i was ovulating and some months i wasnt(even though my cycles are very regular). I was given a fertility drug to try for 3 months called clomid which basically helped trigger the release of more eggs around my ovulation day, it is a small pill that you take from day 2 to 6 of each cycle, i did not use any ovulation kits or charting i just took the pills and relaxed and made sure we had intercourse every other day right up until the day my AF was due and thats all it took as i am now 24 weeks pregnant. After over a year of trying and having one early miscarriage all it took was a few months of tests and a tablet. Keep your chin up and visit the GP and go from there, it will happen for you. xxx

Thank you so much for your story. I have started the clear blue fertility monitor this month but I am only on day 4 of my current cycle. My husband had a sperm a___lysis done in Jan. and everything came back fine with that. Right after we found out we were pregnant but had a miscarriage. My doctor issued us a prescription for clomid after my D and C in April. She issued it only if we wanted to take it but said we would conceive on our own. I do not want to take it without further testing performed first. I want to make sure there are no problems we are unaware of before I start taking the clomid.

alisondunstan112 - What was the time frame in your cycle that the tests were done??

first of all congratualtions to you both, that is lovely news :-)and thank you for sharing your story :-) can i ask when do you think, is the best time to visit our GP? this will be my 8th month of coming off the pill i stopped taking it 24th Decemeber 09, i dont know how long is best to wait? i dont know if i can wait as long as a year though....what is the suggested time to wait?? when you started taking clomid how long did it take you to concieve? :-)

I was advised by the Gp that to go for fetilty checks you need to have been trying for a year, it was hard but we kept on trying and nothing happened so i booked the appointment - ring your GP as you may be able to see him earlier as you have been trying a while with no success? I took clomid on day 2 to 6 of my cycle at 50mg and fell pregnant 3 weeks later so it was the first month, my friend fell pregnant on her second month of pregnant. I didnt think it would ever happen for me and all it took was a few tests and a tablet. Ring your GP, good luck

Off the top of my head i cannot remember exactly but i had to have blood tests on day 26 for 2 cycles to see if there was any change, I also had the dye inserted into my tubes to make sure there was no blockage which was to be done on day 10 of one cycle (sounds bad but it wasnt too bad). I had the normal STD check on my first check up which is done at the start before you have any other tests. My partner had to do a sperm test and on the first appointment they gave me date to go back in 3 months time, they test you over 3 months in case you miss one of the appointments and need to re-schedule for the next cycle. At the 3 month appointment they gather all the results and discuss the next step with you, even if they dont find anything as such you are still offered clomid to take over 3 months to help you.

the clomid stuff sounds like it works :-) i think i will see how i go on the temperature method and the ovulation tests for a month or two and see if we have any luck :-) if we dont :-( i think we will try our GP see what they can suggest for us....thanks for your advice :-) will keep you updated xxxxx

Congratulations, Tht situation you decrbed basically is the exact same thing, im just waitin for my date for my scan hopefully things are fine, your story shows there is light at the end of the tunnel :)

hiya Haley, My period is also a week late, Im 40 an have had infertility issues for years, and now this is the latest ive ever been, have had feelings like im getting my period for like 2 weeks, and my b___st are tender too, not really tired, but have a funky schedule so its hard to tell, lol Im just so scared to take a test and get a negative, but think im gonna wait another week too. I really want this..ive wanted a family for so long that i hope this is real, but have never been pregnant so i have no clue what its supposed to be like..Just have NEVER been more then 4 days late EVER...I did IVF in 06 and nothing, so this would be a miracle to me, just dont want to get my hopes up ya know? Any way just thought id share my story too...thanks . Jennifer

Jst an update, still waiting on a date for my scan. On the 29th of July i had brown spotting so light then the next day it turned out pink and now has stopped, wondering if tht could of been implantation bleeding? still no had a period my LMP was 1 May! Don't want to do a pregnancy test since i always get my hopes up, im back at the doctors tomorrow so i will say to her then.

Hey am Kinda in the same boat as you guys 2 am a month and 2weeks late i've gotten tested but it showed negative.. I am correctly on Birth control for about 7months now cant it be the pills?
